CDE NI Ltd provided the installation of sub-mains, power, lighting and fire detection and supplied ICT cabling plus test and commissioning to these short-term rental apartments. The client wished to control all non-essential systems within the apartments without visiting the building, and CDE NI went above and beyond to fulfil the brief. The judges were not only impressed by the quality of this installation due to its Belfast city centre location, but also because of all the positive feedback from CDE’s client. The panel stated it is simply refreshing to see a contractor listening and reacting to the customer, with superb results to show for it. Lightsource provided a bespoke lighting design for the new National Famine Museum located at the Strokestown Park House & Gardens, in County Roscommon. They developed a lighting scheme that would work with the interior exhibition gallery of the Famine Museum as it was redeveloped into a thematic journey. The judging panel was impressed by how the lighting really made the exhibition come to life. In their words, the lighting design in a museum is just as important as the artefacts, and Lightsource did an outstanding job with the quality of the displays and the professionalism they applied to the project.
