Rodeo Association in 2006. It seemed only appropriate that in 2023 Crawford would add three more world titles to her resume bringing her overall total to 23. Jackie Crawford entered the 2023 WPRA World Finals in Waco, Texas, (November 9-12) wanting to add one more all- around title to her resume. She accomplished that goal and in so doing also added two additional titles in the team roping and tie- down roping. “I am at a loss for words,” Crawford stated shortly after picking up her prize package

from the World Finals. “I had my sights set on one thing when I first started and so I entered the tie-down for the all-around points as I thought it would be cool to win one more. Then the more I got to looking at the standings I was like ‘man I have a chance at more.’ My sights were on the all-around and trying to accomplish that goal everything fell in line to grab two more titles. I can’t believe it.” The only WPRA member in the 75-year history of the Association with more world titles is the late Wanda Harper Bush who finished her career with 32 world titles. Another three years like the one Crawford had in 2023 and she would tie that record.

Crawford won her 10th all-around title after pocketing $8,152 with earnings from team roping, tie-down and breakaway roping. She edged Annette Stahl for the all-around title. Stahl from Salt Flat, Texas, finished with $6,645 on the year in the all-around race competing on both ends of the team roping. In fact, Crawford and Stahl were a force to be reckoned with throughout 2023 as they teamed together to capture the world title in team roping – Crawford on the heading side and Stahl on the heeling side. The 2023 team roping title bumps Crawford’s total in team roping to four titles now. Crawford finished the year with $16,845 to
