Dear cattle producers: Welcome to the 4th annual Hennebold Hereford production sale! 2025 flew by and we’re well into 2026. It’s been awesome hearing back from customers on how their bulls and calf crops preformed, as well as seeing Hennebold Her - efords sired calves topping sales across South Dakota and neighboring states. Besides a few rather chilly weeks, its been a fairly mild winter. I know your hear it in every sale ad, but these bulls are raised with the com - mercial cattleman in mind. The cows get 0 second chances, weather it’s com - ing up open or having an undesirable bag, they take a trip to market. Absolute - ly no creep feed as calves, gives you a better idea what the genetics can truly do on grass. The summer of their yearling year they run on green grass and a mineral program until November. They then get started on a light grain ration until sale day. This is to ensure the absolute healthiest and soundest product for the customer. Lets take a second to talk about the F-1 Baldy. No matter if you’re keeping heifers to keep in your program or looking to sell big steers in the fall its no dispute the F-1 baldy is king. Utilizing hybrid vigor on your black or red angus cows means more weight on your calves and more money in your pocket. F-1 females retained in your herd are more fertile, more feed efficient, and pro - duce more milk to give you bigger calves with less input.
