ALL THE COLOURS OF SPRING IN COPENHAGEN Sve boje proleća u Kopenhagenu
Mart March
Welcoming spring
March is a month to reflect on Air Serbia’s strong start to the year. The previous period has been marked by highly successful promotional activities - from February’s major campaign that de- livered record sales, via special offers for Valentine’s Day and the Belgrade Tourism Fair, to numerous opportunities for our passen- gers to secure tickets at attractive prices. I believe that many of our passengers have already planned their spring and summer trips, while for those who’ve yet to do so, this is a season that naturally awakens the desire to travel. With the days growing longer and ci- ties becoming more vibrant, spring reminds us that it is the perfect season to plan flights and discover new destinations. We also celebrate International Women’s Day this month, on 8 th March. We pay special attention to women in aviation, as the- ir professionalism, knowledge and dedication play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our company and the industry as a who- le. Their energy, responsibility and perseverance provide a strong foundation and a constant source of inspiration for further deve- lopment. We are simultaneously also preparing for the formal start of aviation’s summer season on 29 th March. With seven new rou- tes and increased frequencies to our most popular destinations, we are offering our passengers even more choice, flexibility and opportunities to plan their journeys. March also brings a rich calendar of events in the cities to which we fly directly. Springtime energy can already be felt on the streets of Rome, Paris, Amsterdam and Vienna, while Barcelona, Madrid and London offer diverse culture and music scenes. Mediterrane- an destinations like Athens, Thessaloniki, Malaga, Valencia and Li- sbon are all ideal for short breaks, while New York and Chicago en- ter this new season full of events and activities.
U ovom mesecu obeležavamo i Međunarodni dan žena – 8. mart. Posebnu pažnju posvećujemo žena- ma u avijaciji, čiji profesionalizam, znanje i posveće- nost imaju ključnu ulogu u svakodnevnom funkcioni- sanju naše kompanije, kao i industrije u celini. Mart donosi i bogat kalendar dešavanja u gradovi- ma do kojih direktno letimo. Prolećna energija već se oseća na ulicama Rima, Pariza, Amsterdama i Beča, a Barselona, Madrid i London nude raznovrsnu kultur- nu i muzičku scenu. Mediteranske destinacije poput Atine, Soluna, Malage, Valensije i Lisabona idealne su za kratke odmore, dok Njujork i Čikago ulaze u novu sezonu prepuni događaja i sadržaja. Tokom marta učestvovaću na ERA
I will personally participate in March’s ERA conferen- ce in Belgrade, as well as the Kopaonik Business Fo- rum, where we will discuss the future of aviation and the continued development of our destina- tion network. We are together flying towards new destina- tions and experiences – connected, responsible, and ready for the season ahead.

UNAPREĐENJE PONUDE / OFFER IMPROVED ER SRBIJA UVODI ECONOMY LIGHT TARIFU NA LETOVIMA DO CRNE GORE / AIR SERBIA INTRODUCES ECONOMY LIGHT FARE FOR FLIGHTS TO MONTENEGRO
S erbia’s national airline has its Belgrade–Tivat and Belgrade–Podgorica routes, offering passengers simpler and more affordable options for shorter trips. This fare is part of Air Serbia’s ongoing efforts to improve its offer and meet the needs of modern travellers. The Economy Light option is intended for passengers travelling with hand luggage introduced an Economy Light fare that includes only hand luggage on only who want a high-quality service at an affordable price. Its maximum flexibility and cost effectiveness make it particularly convenient for weekend travel, shorter breaks and frequent business trips between Serbia and Montenegro. The introduction of the new fare on these flights enables the national airline to expand its range of services and provide additional value for its passengers, while simultaneously securing the continued quality and reliability of services provided. Additional fare options for short regional flights are part of Air Serbia’s broader business plan, focused on modernisation and alignment with current passenger expectations. In addition to optimising its offer, the goal is to strengthen the airline’s market competitiveness and develop services that contribute to an improved travel experience for passengers. For more information on the Economy Light fare, please visit the official Air Serbia website: Fare selection | Air Serbia
tarife na ovim letovima nacionalni avio-prevoznik omogućava veći izbor i dodatnu vrednost putnicima, uz istovremeno obezbeđivanje kontinuiranog kvaliteta i pouzdanosti svoje usluge. I be - be u kolicima ušuškane pod
ciradom, džogeri natopljeni, psi uredno izvedeni u šetnju... A svi nasmejani i opušteni.
Desno, ka moru, Operi i Kri - stijaniji, pravo do zgrade Par - lamenta, kraljevskog života Amalineborga i šarenog Niha - vena, pa malo levo, do čude - sne botaničke baste.

Narav - no, nema mesta brizi, most sa - mo silazi ispod površine mora, gde se pretvara u tunel duga - čak četiri kilometra.

Beautiful city tailored to the needs of happy people
the beautiful railway station in the centre. Opposite is Tivoli Gardens, one of Europe’s biggest and cra- ziest amusement parks, while the- re is also the Round Tower from which Danes watched the stars for centuries, then begins Strøget, the pedestrian zone from which wi- de avenues run on all sides. Right towards the sea, Opera House and Freetown Christiania, straight to the parliament building, the royal li- fe of Amalienborg Palace and the colourful Nyhavn, then a little to the left, to the wonderful botanical garden. Or exit the rear of the tra- in station and lose yourself in the Vesterbro neighbourhood. It’s best not to have a plan at all, except a plan of the city, and to let Copen- hagen guide you through its friend- ly streets and canals from one be- auty to the next. Øresund: Blue planet Just a few kilometres from the centre of Copenhagen, or just a few metro stations away, Øre- sund houses the largest aquari- um in Northern Europe. The Danes
No matter how clean Copenha- gen really is, no one could ac- cuse it of being sterile. On the contrary, it is lively and warm, painted in all colours, far from any perfection. Wide boulevards, long pedestrian zones, wherever you go... People, tall, beautiful, blonde, dressed totally normally in the midst of the most expensi- ve brands on every corner. And, of course, everyone on bicycle! Danes push pedals in the driving rain as though it‘s light drizzle ... It‘s a though the locals simply don’t even notice the rain. They don some raincoat and roll their wheels through puddles like they would on a sunny day. And ba- bies in wheelchairs tucked under awnings, joggers drenched, dogs regularly taken for walks... And everyone smiling, relaxed. Here you don’t need to queue for either a train or the metro, be-
cause when you arrive at the sta- tion, within an average of five mi - nutes, precisely to the minute, transport arrives and you can ta- ke aboard both bikes and pets; there are no crowds anywhere and everything is relaxed. And al- though Copenhagen is objecti- vely beautiful, with its neoclassic architecture, spared from demo- lition for centuries, with muse- ums and parks at every turn, that lightness, peace, some kind of irresistible pleasantness and fa- miliarity – these are the main re- asons why that citys so quickly grows in the heart. We don’t have enough space to present all of Copenhagen’s mu- seums to you, given that the en- tire city is one large museum. You should certainly choose for your soul, from classics to mo- dern art, as you won’t have ti- me to tour them all. Set off from

called it The Blue Planet (Den Blå Planet) and it contains over 20,000 fish and other aquatic animals in 53 tanks that conta- in a total of about seven million litres of water. It’s an incredi- ble experience when you see swimming above your head rays and sharks, fish of all kinds and colours, while you walk safely as though along the seabed... Sandy beach While you are already in Øresund, take a stroll along the seemingly endless sands of Amager Bea- ch. Yes, Danes have tried to make maximum use of their summer for swimming and sunbathing, so this part is adapted to that ty- pe of enjoyment, with restaurants and cafés along a beach that stretches for kilometres. This wi- ld part on the periphery of Copen- hagen welcomes guests throu- ghout the year, those who like to walk or jog whether it’s summer or winter, and there are many su-
ch people in this country. In the neighborhood
And, of course, be sure to ma- ke the “leap” to Malmö, to vi- sit this little neighbour in Swe- den, which is quick and easy because a magnificent bridge sets off from here and repre- sents an architectural wonder that brings together the two co- untries. Øresund Bridge is one of the world’s most fascinating bridges, because it is a com- bined bridge-tunnel (underwa- ter), and is the longest bridge in the world to cross a state bor- der (eight kilometres). It disa- ppears into the sea at one point and from the air appears unfini - shed. Of course, there is no re- ason to worry – the bridge sim- ply descends below the surface of the sea to become a four-ki- lometre-long tunnel. This is just yet another priceless experien- ce that you can only enjoy in Denmark.
Kopenhagen je daleko od svake savršenosti, a opet gotovo savršeno harmoničan između vode, zelenila i betona Copenhagen is far from any perfection, and yet almost perfectly harmonious between water, greenery and concrete

HELSINGØR and Hamlet No matter how unpleasant it may be for us to contradict the great William Shakespe- are, there’s no way we could agree with his claim that “so- mething is rotten in the state of Denmark”! On the contrary,
canals, when you enter the castle and head to the other side, facing the sea, you wi- ll see Sweden, located just fo- ur kilometers away. Ferries constantly transport people and goods, but once upon a time this location, thanks to its geographical position, ga- ve strength and power to the kings of Denmark, which was then famous for its Kronborg. This is believed to be the rea- son why England and Shakes- peare heard about it, and thus Hamlet was named as a Dani- sh prince who lives in Elsino- re. Historians, however, claim that the famous writer almost certainly never set foot in this place. Regardless of the reali- ty, tradition has it that the spi- rit of the young prince walks
the halls of this building every night, and within the castle they have marked the special place where Hamlet met the spirit of his father... Everyt- hing here commemorates Ha- mlet and that time. The line “To be or not to be, that is the question!” echoes here every year from the vo- ices of actors who perform this famous English writer’s play for enthusiastic audien- ces. Testifying to how much Danes preserve their traditi- ons is the Shakespeare Festi- val, which brings together nu- merous artists at Kronborg Castle every August.

This is one of the most beau- tiful, and at one time among the most important, Europe- an castles - Kronborg, which Shakespeare renamed Elsino- re in Hamlet, after the city of Helsingør, where it is located. This town in the very north is situated on the farthest pe- ak of the island of Zealand, between Denmark and Swe- den, which is a strategica- lly important place, and was especially so in the Midd- le Ages, when Danish kings controlled entry and exit to the Baltic Sea and charged a tax for the passage of every ship. Those hesitant capta- ins would quickly be convin- ced that it was easier to pay than to face the cannons tur- ned seawards from all sides of Kronborg. Dođite u Roskilde da vidite ostatke brodova stare 1.000 godina, najstariju gotičku katedralu u ovom delu sveta, u kojoj su sahranjeni danski kraljevi i kraljice, kao i da biste uživali na jednom od najboljih evropskih muzičkih festivala Come to Roskilde to see the remains of ships that are thousands of years old, the oldest Gothic cathedral in this part of the world, in which Danish kings and queens are buried, but also to enjoy one of Europe’s best music festivals
Roskilde, where kings and Viking ships rest Roskilde is a small Danish town and the country’s former medieval capital, nestled in a green environment in the typi- cal Scandinavian way. Just thirty kilometres west of Co- penhagen, this town of aro- und 50,000 inhabitants is on the tourist map today for three good reasons. It is home to a cathedral that is the oldest Go- thic church in northern Euro- pe, in which there is a crypt of the Danish royal family conta- ining the mortal remains of as many as 39 Danish monarchs. For all lovers of the Vikings and their culture, Roskilde is the right place to visit, becau- se it contains a museum of Vi- king ships or, more precisely, what remains of them after a thousand years. However, you can still sample part of that history there and learn to tie knots, separate keels for ships or, if you are adventurous, feel was it was really like to voyage on some sailing boat. Finally, during the last week of June Roskilde becomes the most entertaining city in the world that is visited annually, thanks to the festival, by more than 130,000 people. First or- ganised in 1971, as one of the few festivals in that part of Eu- rope, it quickly gained cult sta- tus. It is also called the Eu- ropean festival with a heart, because it is organised by vo- lunteers and all revenue gene- rated by the festival is donated to charitable organisations.
Roskilde – gde počivaju kraljevi i vikinški brodovi

BEOGRADSKI IRSKI FESTIVAL

BELGRADE IRISH FESTIVAL Celebrating Beckett, Jordan and Rea O scar-winning filmmaker Neil Jor- dan, award-winning actors Stephen Rea and Ruth Negga, as well as nu- merous other Irish directors, comedians, musicians, writers and visual artists will present themselves to the Serbian capital for the 14 th Belgrade Irish Festival (BIF), the region’s largest event of contemporary Irish culture, from 12 th to 21 st March. This year’s BIF connects two eras of Iri- sh culture: the contemporary scene, repre- sented by leading Irish film and theatre ar- tists, and the legacy shaped half a century ago by Samuel Beckett, one of the most in- fluential writers of 20 th -century Irish and European literature. Beckett’s legacy runs through all segments of this year’s BIF pro- gramme. Audiences will have the oppor- tunity to watch an exclusive theatre piece inspired by Beckett’s poetry at Atelje 212, the theatre that introduced Beckett to Bel- grade audiences 70 years ago, as well as 19 films based on his works and two exhibi- tions by Serbian and Irish artists inspired by his philosophy. “This year marks the 70 th anniversary of the premiere of Beckett’s Waiting for Go- dot at Atelje 212 in 1956, which was the first staging of Beckett in Eastern Europe at the time — a revolutionary cultural event that introduced Yugoslav audiences to the
aforementioned actor Stephen Rea, repre- senting a duo with the longest-standing collaboration in Irish cinema. Both artists will be awarded the Golden Seal of the Yugo- slav Film Archive for their contributions to film art, and audiences will have the oppor- tunity to watch the classic The Crying Ga- me, Jordan’s 1992 Oscar-winning screen- play, starring Rea and Forest Whitaker. Irish Film Week opens with a scree- ning of Christy, winner of the Grand Pri- ze for Best Film in the Generation 14plus programme, a section of the Berlin Film Fe- stival that focuses on the lives and expe- riences of young people. The film also rece- ived the Best Irish Film award at last year’s Galway Fleadh, Ireland’s most prestigio- us film festival. Christy is an emotionally charged, socially engaged drama about an eighteen-year-old who leaves his foster ho- me and begins living with his older brother. The BIF film programme is also mar- ked by Beckett. For the first time, Belgra- de audiences will be able to experience the eleven-hour programme Beckett on Film: 19 x 19, in which 19 directors bring 19 of Beckett’s works to the screen. This year’s BIF will also offer midnight film screenings and a surprise film for festivalgoers. The opening event of the 14 th BIF on 12 th March is also dedicated to Beckett’s legacy: a collective exhibition of Serbian and regional artists, entitled Siege in the Room, will be presented at Bioskop Balkan and, among others, will feature Aleksandar Denić, one of Europe’s leading contempo- rary scenographers. We are also awaited by the best club night of the year at Silosi, with the guest performance of Donal Dineen, a legendary Irish music editor, DJ and radio pioneer since the 1990s, who is known for his sets blending afrobeat, Latin, folk and contem- porary electronic music into an irresistible dance experience. Street artist James Early will paint a 180 square-metre wall mural at the Port of Belgrade during the festival. Northern Irish writer Mary Ethna Black, who lives between London and Belgrade, will present her new memoir Splav – My Family, a Bel- grade barge and other adventures, which is about life on the River Sava, and will re- ad the chapter entitled The Senjak Chicken Society. We will also get acquainted with the work of writer Ben Keatinge, who wi- ll complete a one-month literary residen- cy in Belgrade.

Stephen Rea and Ruth Negga will per- form at Atelje 212 on 15 th and 16 th March, presenting a theatre piece based on Bec- kett’s poetry and directed by one of Ire- land’s most prolific directors, Alan Gilsenan. Rea is renowned for performing Beckett’s works and is one of the few actors around today who worked directly with the great writer. His stage partner in this performan- ce, Ruth Negga, an Irish-Ethiopian actre- ss, has been nominated for an Academy Award and won an Emmy Award in 2017. A rtist Natalija Miladi- nović is presenting a new series of works through the exhibition Flow, which opens at Belgrade’s Štab Gallery on 11 th March. Repre- senting a continuation of this author’s artistic story devot-
ed to nature and its constant movement and transforma- tion processes, this exhibition includes a series of paintings dominated by large canvases in green tones. Special atten- tion is also drawn by the spe- cific technique used by the art- ist, who forms contours on the canvas and applies free-flowing paint, with each brushstroke recording the time of reflec- tion and the length of the pro- cess of actually making the im- age. “Flow” isn’t only the title of this exhibition, it defines a state in which images flow and colours create new life, while inner feelings find their way to the light. That’s an artistic journey that leads from silence to intensity, and from reflec- tion to spontaneous expres- sion. The exhibition runs until 24 th March.
IZLOŽBA / EXHIBITION Flow (Tok): Priroda u galeriji / Flow: Nature in the gallery
če, a svaki potez beleži vreme pro- mišljanja i traja- nje samog procesa nastajanja slike.
slike teku, boje stvaraju novi ži- vot, a unutrašnji osećaj pronala- zi put do svetla. Izložba traje do 24. marta.
