Dvadeset druga sezona donosi velike profesionalne i emotivne izazove?
The 22 nd season brings great professional and emotional challenges? - Teddy no longer has the luxury of hiding behind titles or hier- archy — every decision has a face and consequences. In this season she is a pillar of the system, but a pillar bursting from within. She has to stay composed while others lose control. That’s a position in which you’re constantly alone, even when surrounded by people. And it is precisely this loneliness of power that’s now the key theme of her journey. How challenging is it to portray a woman who holds a position of power in a medical drama? - Extremely challenging. Because she’s expected to be perfect. Mistakes are forgiven less and emotions are condemned harshly. If she’s strict, she’s seen as cold. If she’s empathetic, she’s seen as weak. Portraying that balance is a great acting challenge, but also a great honour. That’s because such characters create space to discuss real women who bear a similar burden every day. She isn’t ideal, but she is honest. And that is her strength. How does your character relate to the younger generations of doctors? - With a combination of protection and distancing. She knows she can’t teach them everything, but she can show them how to stand behind decisions. She doesn’t always spare them, because she knows that medicine is a tough teacher. But she sees them. And that’s perhaps the most important thing. In her eyes, they’re not just the future — they’re a present that requires leadership. Why do you think this show remains so powerful? - Because it has never avoided reality. Grey’s Anatomy has changed together with the world. It has spoken about things that weren’t previously discussed. And it has always placed people ahead of the system. The audience feels that. This isn’t a series about a hospital — it’s a series about survival in the modern world. And that world is anything but simple. What continues to inspire you personally in your work? - Stories that make sense. Characters that aren’t black and white. And the possibility to pose questions through acting, and not to offer easy solutions.
– Tedi više nema luksuz da se sakrije iza titula ili hi- jerarhije – svaka odluka ima lice i posledicu. U ovoj sezo- ni ona je stub sistema, ali stub koji puca iznutra. Mora da ostane pribrana dok drugi gube kontrolu. To je pozicija u kojoj ste stalno sami, čak i kada ste okruženi ljudima. I upravo ta usamljenost moći je ključna tema njenog sadaš- njeg puta. Koliko je izazovno igrati ženu na poziciji moći u medicinskoj drami? – Izuzetno. Jer se od nje očekuje savršenstvo. Greške se manje praštaju, emocije se strože osuđuju. Ako je stro- ga – hladna je. Ako je empatična – slaba je. Igrati taj balans je veliki glumački izazov. Ali i velika čast. Jer takvi likovi otvaraju prostor za razgovor o stvarnim ženama koje sva- kodnevno nose sličan teret. Ona nije idealna, ali je iskrena. I to je njena snaga. Kako se vaš lik odnosi prema mlađim generacijama lekara? – Sa kombinacijom zaštite i distance. Ona zna da ne može sve da ih nauči, ali može da im pokaže kako se sto- ji iza odluka. Ne štedi ih uvek, jer zna da je medicina surov učitelj. Ali ih vidi. I to je možda najvažnije. U njenim oči- ma oni nisu samo budućnost – oni su sadašnjost koja zah- teva vođstvo. Zašto mislite da serija i dalje ima toliku snagu? – Zato što nikada nije bežala od stvarnosti. „Uvod u anatomiju“ se menjao zajedno sa svetom. Govorio je o stvarima o kojima se ranije ćutalo. I uvek je stavljao ljude ispred sistema. Publika to oseća. Ovo nije serija o bolnici – ovo je serija o preživljavanju u savremenom svetu. A taj svet je sve samo ne jednostavan. Šta vas lično i dalje inspiriše u ovom poslu? – Priče koje imaju smisao. Likovi koji nisu crno-beli. I mogućnost da kroz glumu postavim pitanja, a ne da nu- dim laka rešenja.
