1 GLUTEN FREE Some people suffer from Coeliac disease, which is the adverse reaction to gluten, a protein found in some grains. A gluten free diet does not include the grains wheat, barley, rye, or hybrids of these grains. Other people are now following a gluten free diet following reports of weight loss and other health benefits. 2 DAIRY & LACTOSE FREE Cow’s milk allergy and lactose intolerance are often confused with each other, but they are not the same. Cow’s milk allergy is an intolerance to proteins in cow’s milk such as Casein and Whey, whereas lactose intolerance is where an individual is affected by the sugar in cow’s milk (lactose). Because of this difference we have specified where a product is dairy free or lactose free, or both.

3 VEGAN Veganism is a way of living which seeks to exclude, all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose. Vegans follow a plant-based diet avoiding all animal bi-products such as meat (including fish, shellfish and insects), dairy, eggs and honey - as well as other products like leather and anything else that is tested on animals. 4 ORGANIC With many people believing that organic foods have a higher nutritional content, are kinder to the environment and livestock, and are healthier than conventionally produced foods, demand for organic produce is on the rise. Organic food is the product of a farming system which avoids the use of man-made fertilisers, pesticides, growth regulators and feed additives.
