News in General, March 2019

A WORD FROM OUR CEO Kenneth Cochran, DSc, FACHE President & CEO

I know it does not feel like it now, but spring is in the air! We can look forward to warmer weather, blooming flowers, sunshine and crawfish. Equally exciting are all of the things happening at OGHS! I hope you are planning to join us for the “Meet Mako” events on March 7, where we will offer information about our new Robotic-Arm Assisted technology and give our Mako a name. Dr. Bacilla and Dr. Clause have been very busy with new Mako cases, additionally receiving increased interest from joint replacement candidates.

On February 28, we formally welcomed Dr. Saurabh Lalan, neurologist, to our medical staff during a Chamber Business After Hours. He is doing very well in his practice and we wish him continued success. Construction is underway on the LSU-Eunice clinic with an anticipated completion date of end of March, and our telemedicine clinic at Arnaudville Elementary is drawing some excitement by teachers and parents alike.

We have experienced such a favorable start to the year. Let us all put that extra spring in our step to continue to grow our health system.
