EMPOWERING FRONTLINE LEADERS TO FULFILL THE GREAT COMMISSION

AN UPDATE FROM GLOBAL ADVANCE

STRENGTHENING THE CHURCH IN PAKISTAN

Reaching people who are lost in every sense of the word - those without Jesus, who are headed for an eternity devoid of God – is an equally valid, biblical motive. Healthy church planting is one of the greatest ways to measure the advance of the gospel and the fulfillment of the Great Commission. Pakistan ranks in the top five most persecuted nations in the world. Christians account for only 1.6% of the population, and in the Sindh Province alone there are over 350 tribal groups who have never heard the gospel. There is an alarming need to train leaders and plant churches in this region. When we train pastors we are saying, “You are not alone. We are with you!” These trained church planters will advance the gospel and see souls come to faith in Christ. REACHING THE UNREACHED… TOGETHER! All around the world, Global Advance is working to promote the urgency for reaching unbelievers with the good news of Jesus Christ. You can join with us in advancing the gospel through your prayers and faithful giving to this kingdom assignment. Thank you for your partnership that allows Global Advance to champion this church planting movement in South Asia and beyond.

THE GOSPEL IS CENTRAL Through partnerships with indigenous leaders, we are training church planters in rural villages and urban cities with a foundation on the clear proclamation of the gospel. The gospel of Jesus Christ is the Bible’s integrating theme. It is the underpinning of all biblical truth. It is the skeletal structure of the Scriptures; the scarlet thread that weaves together God’s amazing story of redemption. Our work in training leaders on the gospel’s front line is helping to lift the biblical knowledge of many under-served and isolated pastors. In January we sent a training team to Murree, a Himalayan mountain town within the northernmost part of the Punjab province of Pakistan. We had the privilege of helping these leaders develop a framework for seeing churches planted, while encouraging them to live lives that are above reproach as leaders in God’s Church. We challenged them to be leaders who make disciples and then send disciples to plant the church and reach the unreached. OUR MOTIVATION Without question, the glory of God is the highest motive for sharing the gospel, but it is not the only motivation.
