When we reach the age of account ability, in what state do we find our selves? (Rom. 7 :14): “I am carnal, sold under sin.” Is this true even of good moral men? (Isa. 64:6): “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses -are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our ini quities, like the wind, have taken us away.” (Rom 10:2-4): «For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowl edge. For they being ignorant of God’s right eousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not sub mitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.” (Rom. 6 :17): “But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.” Who are the servants of sin? (Jno. 8 :34 ): “Whosoever committeth sin is the ser vant of sin.” . What is the extent of sin in the world? (Rom. 3:10-23): . “As it is written, The^re is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable. . . . For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” In what class does the Bible put all men? (Gal. 3 :22): «But the scripture hath concluded all under sin.” What does this universal state of sin mean? (Rom. 5 :12 ): «Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.” In what position does unforgiven 6in place men before God? (Lk. 19:10): “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that Which was LOST.” (Eph. 2:1, 12):

SIN In these days when a number of re ligious sects either deny the reality of sin or tone down the meaning of sin, it is important that we have some of the Bible definitions of sin. Sin is a deliberate transgression of what? (1 Jn. 3 :4 ): “Sin is the transgression of the law.” In plain words, what is sin? (1 Jn. 5 :17 ): . , 1 “All unrighteousness is sin.” How does God look upon all that is done apart from faith in Him? (Rom. 14:23): “Whatsoever is not of faith is sin.” If one is not a believer, how is even his daily work regarded? (Prov. 21:4): “The plowing of the wicked is sin.” Is there any escape from the defini tion of sin found in Prov. 24:9? “The thought of foolishness is sin.” Suppose we know something good we ought to do, and we do not do it— what does this omission constitute? ,(Jas. 4 :17 ): “Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.” What is the greatest sin? (Jno. 16: 9 ): “Of sin, because they believe not on me.” In what class does this put all reject ors of Jesus Christ? (Rom. 3 :23 ): “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” (Isa. 53:6 ): “All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.” What is the story of sin in the world? (Gen. 3). Since the time that man was the victim of Satan’s subtlety, what has been the condition in which men nave been born? (Ps. 51:5 ): “Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.”
