T H E K I N G ' S B U S I N E S S did not know just where to find us. We asked the Lord to advertise the place for usNand then awaited results. One night the Fire Department came tearing around the corner and stopped in front of our place, people coming from every direction. They were on top of the building, around the build ing, under the building, all of them de manding to know “What’s the matter?” The matter was that we had started a little fire in the fireplace and, owing to a defective flue, it didn’t act just exactly as a properly behaved fire should. But we didn’t have to do any more advertising. The Fire Depart ment had done it for us! New Rooms Opened The most unusual and interesting event of the past month was the official public opening of the Club. About five hundred were present to enjoy the strong, spiritual messages that were given by Dr. T. C. Horton, Superintend ent of the Bible Institute of Los An geles. Dr, French Oliver and Dr. Cort land Myers, also of the Institute, and Dr. John Marvin Dean, the popular and beloved pastor of the First Baptist Church of Pasadena. Several others took part in the full program, including the double male quartet from the Institute. Great interest was shown in the work of the Club, and, as a result, a num ber of new faces are now seen at the Bible classes. Practical Results One woman, who came recently in heaviness of heart, because of Chris tian Science, found peace and joy in Christ Jesus. A young man tangled up in Spiritualism came for a frank discussion and Went away, after being prayed with, promising to read John’s Gospel and to seek through prayer to know the truth. One young man, who had run away from the East to escape the call;of the Lord to Christian work, came for help, found it, and has begun studying to fit himself for the Lord’s service. Ha says that he can never be grateful enough for Biola Club. One young minister, expelled from his de nomination for being loyal to the Bible, and having turned to business, was res cued by the Biola Club, sent back into the ministry, and reports that his work is most wonderfully blessed of the Lord. His congregations have more than doubled, souls are being saved, special spiritual work In his city is enlarged and his family is a very happy one, praising the Lord for the Biola Club. In

trasts. One who has come to know his Lord in an ever deepening spiritual ex perience as his years have passed the three score and ten span of life was suddenly called aside from a life of activity to wait for the summons from his Lord to come and be with Him. But his days of waiting are days of great peace and expectation and he plans and talks of his home-going. In another home lies a young woman very close, too, to the summons. Here there was not peace but rebellion as she refused every advance of those who would preach Jesus to her. But loved ones and the Bible Class were much in prayer and at last before it is too late, she has sought pardon and her Saviour. Eager to Testify “ Are we going to have our testimony meeting?” was the question asked by a girl in one of our out of town high school meetings recently, lest the teacher should forget the praise serv ice after the lesson. One after another told of God’s answers to their prayers. Finally, one of the girls stood up and said, “ I wanted to go to our Euodia Rally with you and was told that I couldn’t go but I prayed about it and had the privilege of going.” After class she put her arm around the teacher and said, “ I wanted to thank God again for letting me go.” Of course, this gave the teacher the opportunity of asking her if she had taken the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Saviour. She said .that she had been confirmed but she did not know anything about a definite yielding of her heart to Christ as her Saviour. She was easily led to accept Him for she had learned to love Him through the Euodia Class.' Later, she gavé, this testimony to the class, “ I al ways knew about God and Iprayed but it has been so different since I came to Euodia and learned to know about Jesus and how he answers our prayers, and Euodia day is different from all the rest.” .$ 14 .
