Their plan started with a solid foundation, so the factory frame was fully boxed, C-notched, and rein- forced. Darrell then slipped in a FatMan IFS with tubular A-arms, rack and pinion steering, and disc

brakes. The rear is a RideTech tri-angulated four-bar holding a Strange Ford 9-inch and four-wheel Wilwood discs. Jerry and Darrell then slipped in a fire breathing Ford Coyote 5.0 with a Ford Performance serpentine drive, Ford Performance covers (coil/engine), factory EFI, a custom stainless exhaust, and a Walker radiator. The power goes through a Ford AOD tranny and out through Corvette Z06 styled spider wheels from 3030 Autosport wrapped in Nitto rubber. There are a lot of little tweaks by Darrell and Elais Morales to get the ’58 looking just right. The NOVEMBER 2025 61
