StreetScene-Nov25

front drip rail has been removed, the door corners rounded, the bed extended into the body for a flush fit, the rear bumper was capped, both bumpers were tucked in, a Pros Pick bed cover was installed, and custom body length trim was fabri- cated out of the short factory hood spear. Darrell then straightened everything out before laying down the stunning House of Kolor Lucky Leprechaun Green Gold Metallic paint (so technical- ly, the gold is in the paint). Darrell and Jerry filled the interior with Dakota Digital gauges, an IDIDIT column and shifter, Vintage Air, a custom stereo,

and a cup holder. James Carter stitched the Dune leather interior covering the dash, headliner, and everything except the floor. I ran into the trio at the Street Rod Nationals and it’s just the beginning of the fun they are going to have with their ’58 enjoying the accolades of a new car and making plans to drive all over the USA. One look at the picture of Tom and you know he always got the job done and he always looked good doing it. I can’t think of a better metaphor for dads, and I hope to see you all out enjoying your living tribute!
