DEVELOPMENT & REDEVELOPMENT
Pioneer Ridge The development at the northeast corner of Pioneer Trail and Bluff Creek Boulevard will feature 54 townhomes, including 14 detached units designed to resemble single family homes, but will benefit from HOA-maintained yards. The project will begin construction this fall. Santa Vera Phase II Plans call for two additional two story apartment buildings on the Santa Vera property, adding 28 units to the existing 18- unit building. The proposal has been approved by the city and is anticipated to start construction in the spring of 2026. Eden Springs Assisted Living and Memory Care A proposal for a 42-bed memory care, assisted living facility on Arboretum Boulevard has been approved by the city. The project is located adjacent to Lake Ann Park on the north side of Highway 5. The project will not impact any public land associated with Lake Ann Park and construction is anticipated to start this fall. Avienda Rowhomes Charles Cudd Homes has begun construction of the Avienda Rowhomes. This will include 53 rowhomes in buildings of three or four units each. Downtown Redevelopment Roers Companies are actively constructing The Harlow and The Bennett, two new vertical mixed use buildings in the center of downtown Chanhassen. Once completed, it will include space for six new commercial tenants, 310 new Chanhassen neighbors and over 400 structured parking stalls, some of which will be available to the public when patronizing the future commercial businesses in these buildings. Pleasant View Pointe The city has given full approvals for a 20 lot subdivision located near the intersection of Powers Boulevard and Pleasant View Road. Charles Cudd Homes is the builder for this subdivision. The development will result in the connection of Nez Perce Drive to Pleasant View Road. This connection will improve public safety access to the area neighborhoods in the event of an emergency. Waterview A five lot subdivision on the west side of Lake Minnewashta has been approved by the city. Audubon Business Park Construction of two new office industrial buildings totaling nearly 400,000 square feet of space along Highway 5 west of Paisley Park is nearing completion. These new buildings will be leased as one central campus for The Bernard Group. The Bernard Group, a manufacturing company providing print and software solutions, has had locations in Chanhassen, Chaska and Shakopee. This new location provided an opportunity for the business to remain and invest in the Chanhassen community bringing all of their nearly 1,000 employees to Chanhassen. Xcel Energy Service Center The city approved plans for a new two story office and vehicle storage building, a 65 ft., two-story, boom truck maintenance building, a 175 ft. communication tower, and three, one-story storage buildings and screened outdoor storage areas for a new centralized Xcel Energy service center. This center has been constructed south of Highway 5 and directly adjacent to the Audubon Business Park project. Under Construction When a project is “under construction,” it means the city has finished its review and granted final approvals. Builders now have the go-ahead and construction is either actively underway or about to begin.
