I’m Going to SuperStars Creative Arts Camp
I go to bed early and get a good night’s sleep every night before camp.
I eat a healthy breakfast every morning before I come to camp. 1
I wear comfortable clothes.
I wear comfortable shoes that cover my toes. 2
When I arrive at camp I am greeted by camp staff.
The parents and caregivers fill out forms and waivers. 3
There is a table for my coat, backpack and other belongings.
Staff may lock up my stuffed animal or medicine when I arrive at camp. 4
Camp staff might ask me how I am feeling.
The staff is on the playground and I can play outside before camp starts. 5
The bell rings to let us know it is time for camp.
We line up to go inside.

We sit in a circle on the floor when we come inside.
We say the SuperStars cheer.

We go over camp rules on the first day of camp.
We talk about our daily schedule that is written on the dry-erase board. 8
We work on social skills like affirmations and compliments with puppets every day.
Kindness is one of the rules.

We practice our breathing strategies with the puppets to help us calm down.
9:20 a.m. - 10:20 a.m. We have different activities with different teachers. 10
We have movement activities.
We have juggling activities.

We have art activities.
We have plate spinning activities.

We have drama activities.
We have music activities.

We have dance activities.
We have a drum circle activity.

Sometimes we break up into different groups.
There is a peace bridge to help us resolve conflicts.

10:20 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. We take a break and have a healthy snack that is provided by the camp or we can bring our own snack.
We sit on the floor or at a table and eat our snack.

We clean up and go outside for recess. Sometimes we play organized games.
10:45 a.m. We have our last activity for the day which might be drumming, art or drama.

11:20 a.m. We gather in a circle and pass a puppet, stuffed animal or pom-pom around to share our favorite part of the day.
We do the SuperStars Cheer!

My parents or caregiver sign me out with a staff member.
I take my belongings from the table and bring them home.

Ms. Julie says goodbye and we leave.
Every day at camp we are preparing for a show.

We learn different songs and activities throughout the week to perform at the final show.
The day before the final show we practice the show.

The day of the show we play outside or in the gym before the show.
We have to wait patiently in the art room to get ready for the show. 22
We wear our SuperStars Camp shirt on the last Friday of camp.
The last day of camp we perform the show. 23
Our friends and family come to watch us perform.
We have a party with food and dancing after the show. 24
