Lyznie Ashley is determined to become a teacher of the visually impaired and teach braille to other blind students to influence the lives of young students – a dream she has had since junior high. She volunteers to share her story with other School of Education students so they can be better educators to their future students who are blind or visually impaired. Lyznie has also completed more than the required number of practicum hours with local schools to take any opportunity she can to make a positive impact.
