CAPRA NATIONAL ACCREDITATION RECOGNITION AWARD 2010, 2015 & 2021

Our staff is proud to report that the City of Dublin continues to join the ranks of elite park and recreation agencies and departments across the country by earning its reaccreditation status through the Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA) and the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA). CAPRA accreditation is the only national accreditation for park and recreation agencies and is a measure of best practices used to achieve overall quality of service to the community. This mark of distinction indicates that the City has met rigorous standards for the management, planning and administration of public lands, facilities, resources, programs, safety and services.

The City of Dublin Parks and Recreation Department is one of 192 agencies in the country and one of ten agencies in Ohio to receive national accreditation. We achieved reaccreditation in 2021 and distinguished ourselves even further by meeting all 154 standards. To become accredited, agencies must demonstrate their ability to meet all 36 Fundamental Standards and 95% of the non-fundamental standards. We are pleased to exceed the standards for the benefit of our residents and guests.

NEW PARKS & RECREATION PRICING MODEL The City of Dublin has adopted a new, simplified pricing structure for parks and recreation services and amenities, such as Dublin Community Recreation Center memberships, classes and pool passes. Starting Jan. 1, prices will fall into two categories: residents and non-residents. While all are welcome to enjoy our exceptional recreational opportunities, tax-subsidized pricing will be reserved for residents. The new pricing structure is based on insights from the 2023 Parks & Recreation Master Plan and a recent cost study. Discounted pricing will no longer be offered for non-residents who live within the Dublin City Schools boundary, which is geographically nearly twice the size of the City, as seen on the map below. Not sure if you live within the City limits? Use our address checker to find out! DCRC REFRESH UPDATE

The Dublin Community Recreation Center (DCRC) is transitioning into the first stage of construction in the DCRC Refresh Master Plan, beginning with the Teen Lounge and Senior Lounge. Three public input sessions were held between October 2023 and March 2024. MSA Design compiled feedback from community members, conducted various stakeholder meetings and presented ideas based on the feedback and observations from guest comments. Below are floor plans of the two spaces. Construction is expected to begin in February. For the most up-to-date timeline, please visit our website at DublinOhioUSA.gov/ dublin-community-recreation-center-refresh/ .
