When one wants to create a controlled society, one must create a common enemy, an eminent danger from which only he, with the help of the people, can get rid of it. One experiment that shows how strong conformity can become in a group of people is Solomon Asch’s Conformity Experiment. He took a group of people who were made accomplices in the experiment and in this group, there was always a subject who did not know what the experiment was about. The group was asked to look at the images and answer on the length of some stripes. It has been shown that most people have followed the group’s mistakes in order to comply. This experiment shows how malleable groups of individuals are in relation to the social situation of a group. These two forms of creating an isolated society, of creating or making a union through fear are the most found in history and the most psychologically demonstrated. Considering that, people act out of the fundamental need to have satisfied needs and security. Somewhat contradictory, groups of people, even those who were not conditioned by anything as young children, tend to be submissive in the presence of control. However, Nietzsche’s teachings tell us how people have a need for power. As a social aspect, Nietzsche did not believe that society can effectively control the behavior of an individual, and that each person has control only through self-discipline. Man can be free only when he is in control of his own impulses and his destiny. To conclude, conditioning, fear, manipulation, uniting in the face of a common enemy and depersonalization of individuals are all effective ways to create a submissive society, but together, as long as they do not contradict their own logic, can influence a society in a deeper way.
