For cities over 250,000 in population, only 41% report citizens being highly satisfied with the direction the city is moving. The 72% satisfaction share reported in Oklahoma City exceeds the national share by almost 20 percentage points and large city peers by more than 30 percentage points. On the city’s attractiveness as a place to raise children, Oklahoma City is rated by citizens slightly higher than the nation (69% vs. 68%) but nearly 20 percentage points above the peer group of large cities (50%). National-like responses are also reported for Oklahoma City as a place to retire (59%) and a place to visit (58%). However, the city far exceeds the satisfaction reported across large peer cities as a place to retire (44%) or visit (49%).
