Healthy SBCSS
In alignment with Countywide Vision, Healthy SBCSS champions a self-sustainable system of seamless, accessible, and effective services that advance wellness, recovery, and resiliency, integration of primary care and mental health supports to provide a full range of health creating opportunities for individuals, families, and communities. The Healthy SBCSS department leads programs and initiatives addressing the whole child, including: • The Wellness Conference • Behavioral health, including suicide prevention • CalFresh Healthy Living • California Health Education Framework Implementation • Tobacco-Use Prevention Education The role of Healthy SBCSS includes: • Leading and promoting student wellness initiatives • Advocating for health equity to ensure all students and families thrive • Centralizing support for whole child coordinated resources and technical assistance • Fostering collaboration among cross-sector partners to enhance community impact • Building systems to support wellness for students and staff
