Behavioral Health America’s Healthiest Schools Webinar Series This webinar will guide local school sites in the application process to become recognized as America’s Healthiest Schools. Healthier Generation’s signature award program honors schools for the key role they play in advancing the health and well-being of students, staff, and families. The honor of being named one of America’s Healthiest Schools is seen by millions nationwide through awardees’ promotion of the distinction through national media and in their local community. The Wellness Conference The Wellness Conference (formerly the Southern Region Student Wellness Conference) is an exciting 3-day in-person conference experience attracting regional and statewide attendees annually. It is designed to empower behavioral health professionals, administrators, educa- tors, and school law enforcement to create positive change on school campuses. The SRSWC features nation-ally-recognized keynote speakers and engaging breakout sessions based on the Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child framework which focuses on integrating health services and programs more deeply into the day-to-day life of schools and students which is an untapped tool for raising academic achievement and improv-ing learning for all students. Breakouts feature topics including health education, health services, physical edu- cation, physical activity, nutrition environment and services, family engagement and community involvement, employee wellness, physical environment, counseling, psychological and social services, and social and emotional climate. Audience: School leaders, educators, mental health support providers and community partners working closely with schools such as law enforcement, school resource officers, social workers, licensed clinicians and non-profit organizations.
