Social Emotional Learning The California CALHope Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Student Support Grant providing technical assistance to district and school staff to support the development of SEL strategies that improve the wellness and wellbeing of students and staff. SEL is an integrated, comprehensive framework that includes inclusive practices for classrooms, schools, families, and communities. Learning Systems and Supports’ (LSS) core purpose is to develop capacity to implement, sustain and scale whole child, whole school, whole community systems that meet the academic, behavioral, social emotional and wellness needs of all learning from cradle to career. LSS serves as one of the county office of education lead and/or participating agencies for several state iniatives that include: California Community Schools Partnership Program The California Community Schools Partnership Program (CCSPP) for the Southern Inland Region Technical Assistance Center providing technical assistance to districts, schools and communities to support the development, planning and sustainability of Community Schools strategies in Inyo, Mono, Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. Multi-Tiered System of Support The California Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) Grant providing technical assistance to district and school teams to support the implementation of equity-aligned systems and strategies to meet the needs of students. MTSS is an integrated, comprehensive framework includes a systems-based approach to improve academic, social emotional, behavioral, and mental health outcomes for all students. Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports The California Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) initiative providing technical assistance to district and school teams to support the implementation of a safe, restorative and responsive school culture and climate for all student, families, and communities. PBIS is an integrated, comprehensive framework that includes tiered behavior expectations, strategies, and supports to improve behavior and attendance outcomes for all students.
