Tobacco-Use Prevention Education (TUPE) Not on OUR Watch! Preventing & Addressing Student Substance Use Join us to “get schooled” on the research- based risks of current substance use trends, and proven systemic approaches for preventing and intervening in use. The drugs our students are exposed to are becoming increasingly stronger, more appealing, available, easier to conceal, and laced with unexpected substances. We are seeing an epic rise in adolescent substance- related mental health concerns, cognitive damages, medical emergencies, and overdose deaths, often playing out on our campuses. We will also outline the components of effective comprehensive drug education programs, proven prevention, early intervention and discipline approaches, and the role we can play in helping our students stay informed and safe in today’s drug landscape.
