Work-Based Learning Resources Micro-Internships Micro-Internships are monthly virtual and in person interactions of 90 minutes or more between industry partners and small groups of students designed around industry- specific workplace technical and essential skill development. The micro-Internship toolkit contains resources that can be utilized and modified as needed by teachers/districts to implement micro-internships in their communities. Career Education Map This regional map identifies the location of existing Inland Empire K12 CTE pathways and community college career education programs. Labor market data supplied by the Centers of Excellence illustrates the alignment/ misalignment of workforce needs in the region in comparison to regional workforce preparation programs. This map will assist educators in analyzing IE pathway efforts, identifying trends, and making data-driven decisions regarding career preparation programs and pathways. SBCSS now hosts five K12 pathway coordinators. They are assigned to each community college district’s service area to work with the community colleges and the K-12 LEAs. These positions provide technical assistance as needed to strengthen and expand CTE programs and are go-to resources for K-12 Strong Workforce and the Career Technical Education Incentive grants.
