Pre-Apprenticeship Automotive Student Competition Automotive teams from across the county will gather at San Bernardino Valley College to showcase their service and diagnostic skills in a variety of challenging events. Regional Chopped winners from the East Valley, West End, and High Desert will demonstrate their mastery of culinary skills under evaluation of local industry judges. Pre-Apprenticeship Construction and Building Trades Competition Building and Construction Trades teams from throughout the county will convene to demonstrate their expertise in a range of hands- on events. Date: TBD Location: TBD Contact: Jalisa Randle, Workforce SBCSS Project Manager jalisa.randle@sbcss.net In partnership with Professional Engineers in California Government (PECG) the Alliance for Education will host the PECG PREP (Promoting Readiness for Engineering Professions) San Bernardino County Bridge Challenge at the Caltrans Southern Regional Laboratory. The challenge is designed to allow students the opportunity to develop a specific type of Bridge that is tested for strength-to-weight ratio.
