Chopped - Regional Competition Workforce SBCSS and MDCP are collaborating to hold the 2025-2026 Inaugural San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools Regional Chopped Competition. Regional Chopped winners from east val-ley, west end, and high desert areas will demonstrate their mastery of culinary skills under evaluation of local industry judges. Pathway students will compete for the SBCSS Regional Chopped title awards for best main entree, best side dish, and best overall team. Pre-Apprenticeship Construction and Building Trades Competition Building and Construction Trades teams from throughout the county will convene to demonstrate their expertise in a range of hands- on events. The challenge is designed to allow students the opportunity to develop a specific type of Bridge that is tested for strength-to-weight ratio. Fire and EMS Competition Fire Science and EMS pathways will compete in the inaugural Fire Science Competition. Law and Public Safety Pathway Conferences Students in Law and Public Safety Pathways will gain insights into various careers, demonstrations, and applications within law enforcement. Conferences scheduled for fall 2024 and spring 2025 will cover topics such as SWAT and volunteer forces, homicide, coroner, and scientific in-vestigations.
