It does not follow a straight line. It meanders, gathers character, and picks up meaning along the way, much like the collections its founders now help others understand. Jason Reott’s entrepreneurial instincts showed up long before spreadsheets and smelting machines entered the picture. As a teenager in Georgia, he was selling peaches, learning rsthand that value is not just about the product, but about timing, trust, and presentation. It is a lesson that would later shape an entirely di erent kind of business. Years later, life began layering in unexpected turns. A friendship formed at church with Drew who showed interest in selling peaches. He went on to serve as a priest in the Vatican before returning to Georgia, and remained a steady thread in Jason’s life. en came Heather, Jason’s wife, and soon their growing family. With three young children in tow, the Reotts made a move that would quietly rede ne everything, trading Brunswick, Georgia for Vero Beach and taking on a xer upper that would test both patience and imagination. What they did not expect was that a home renovation would spark a new venture. While tearing into walls and replacing infrastructure, Jason became fascinated with the sheer volume of copper piping being removed. Instead of seeing debris,
he saw opportunity, and perhaps more importantly, a teaching moment for his children. at curiosity led to the purchase of a smelting machine, a powerful piece of equipment capable of melting metals at extreme temperatures and separating valuable material from waste. What began as a hands on family experiment quickly gained traction. Word traveled through their church community. A priest received a donation of silverware and turned to Jason to melt it down for resale. Another brought in collectible coins, asking for valuation. at single request opened the door to numismatics, and suddenly the business was no longer just about metal. It was about history, rarity, and the stories embedded in every piece. From there, Peaches and Pennies began to take shape as a brokerage rooted in both knowledge and integrity. ey expanded their reach through Catholic communities across Florida and back into Georgia, building relationships and trust one client at a time. en came another turning point. At a coin roadshow hosted in a hotel, Jason and Heather observed the model, met buyers, and recognized an opportunity to meet clients where they were. Roadshows became part of their rhythm, blending travel with discovery. Despite the evolution, the name remains a nod to the beginning. Peaches are still part of their world, a reminder that the simplest ventures o en lay the groundwork for something far more complex. Today, Peaches and Pennies operates well beyond coins and precious
