WINNERS OF THE WVSSAC ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS High School Award
The Deputy Board members of West Virginia Secondary School Activities Commission met in October 2024 to select the winners for the 2024-25 Academic Achievement Awards. The West Virginia State Football Championship Committee. This statewide recognition program involves two types of awards to be given to schools and individuals. The member school award are based on the computer overall grade point averages for the Team Sport Award, the Individual Team Sport Award, and the Band Award. The individual award include: Male and Female Athlete, Male and Female Band Students, and Male and Female Community Service at both high school and middle school/ 9th grade levels. Jameson is the son of Abbie Talbert and Jim Maynard of Wheeling, WV.
• FEMALE ATHLETE Paige Fox , PikeView High School. Paige is the daughter of Jason and Sandra Fox of Camp Creek, WV. • MALE BAND STUDENT David Hegele , Shady Spring High School. David is the son of Elizabeth Hegele of Daniels, WV. • FEMALE BAND STUDENT Isabella Mitchem , PikeView High School. Isabella is the daughter of Jeff and Angela Mitchem of Princeton, WV. • MALE COMMUNITY SERVICE Cole Waugaman , Ritchie County High School. Cole is the son of Jeremy and Brooke Waugaman of Pullman, WV. • FEMALE COMMUNITY SERVICE Alexis Bordas, Wheeling Park High School. Alexis is the daughter of Jamie and Stacy Bordas of Wheeling, WV.
