Students gain hands-on experience with electrical components, smart thermostats, blueprint reading, and code compliance with NFPA, Maine Heating, and
State Plumbing standards. HVAC & Plumbing Year 2
Second-year students advance to system diagnostics, efficiency testing, and advanced plumbing installation. Coursework covers refrigeration technologies, high- efficiency energy systems, and integrated HVAC/ plumbing design, along with professional skills and apprenticeship preparation.
