Many nursing students from Region 10 Technical High School continue their profes- sional growth by pursuing a RN program. Students like Hannah Morris who graduat- ed at St. Joseph’s, often invite Mrs. McMahon to pin them at their pinning ceremony, four years after they’ve moved on from Region 10, as a way to honor the significant influence she had on their early careers.
Shelby Bishop “Seven years after graduating from the CNA program at Region 10, I am still so thankful I had that opportunity. The CNA program taught me workforce readiness, how to care for patients, so much about the human anatomy, how to better be a part of the community, and how to be a member of a team in healthcare. Things I wouldn’t have learned at my sending high-school. I also made amazing friends with common interests who I still talk to daily years later, and even had the opportunity to work with many of them throughout the years. At the age of seventeen, I had my CNA certification and was able to start working at an assisted living community after school and on the weekends all because the CNA program prepared me. Thank you Mrs. McMahon and everyone else at R10 for believing in me and allowing R10 to be such a huge part of my high-school journey!”
