Christ and the Church C HRIST had no wifej no child. He had no child to prattle and sit pn his knee, dor any wife on whom to bestow affec tion. He never said, “My wife,” or “My child.” He 'did say, however, “My father,” and “My church.” The church is the bride o f Christ and the book of Revelation tells us o f His marriage to her. Yes, I know all about the church’s his tory, the shadows that have fallen over her; her unfaithfulness and sin throughout all the centuries; yet she is the bride and wjfe o f the Christ. Be careful what you say against the Church which is the bride and wife o f Christ. This, too—dhat although the church has fallen short o f her high standard in the
