His hands; so that H e can break us and make us a blessing to the many, though we be so few. Has not His body broken for us fed the multitudes during the ages? These small lives o f ours.;,'; these humble abilities; these meagre resources; when put into His hands, how they g row ! There are yet multitudes to be fed. He can .use us in passing out the Bread o f Life. Though He be the Creator, yet is He Mindful of the Fragments. Gather them. Let nothing be lost. Nothing' is too small for His use. The waste in the families of the church would furnish the means to give the Gospel to the world. Crusts and crumbs are needed by Him and'are worth saving for Him. Whatever is passed through His hands becomes sacred. The little crumbs o f time, the little crumbs o f money, must all be utilized for the use o f the Master. PRACTICAL POINTS (1) It is no waste to wait upon the Lord. (2) What matter what motive moves a man s6 that He ' moves toward Christ ? ' (3) You cannot rid yourself o f responsi bility by sending people away. (4) In your calculations concerning what can be done, consider Christ. (5) For starving souls, the command still stands, “ Give ye them to eat.” (6) God can furnish a table in the wilder ness, (Psa. 78:19). (7) Nothing is diminished which passes through His divine hands. (8) There is enough waste in Christian homes to give the Gospel to the world. (9) “There is that scattereth and yet increaseth.”

remember the hunger of our hearts, and our longing for the life for which God created us, and for the peace which had never yet come ; when we see the multi- ; tudes helpless and hopeless, snared by Satan, drifting down thé stream o f life to the abyss o f woe, we should be stirred to our souls’ depths in their behalf. How wonderful was that word o f life ' as Ministered by the Master. “ Never man spake like this Man.” No wonder they hung upon His words until the day closed, Have we not found gems from the King’s treasury so absorbing, so satisfying, that we forgot time and all else? The man behind the message has much to do with it, and here we, find the Man of all men feeding hungry souls. The Master is never indifferent to the needs of' men’s bodies either. W e would send them away to work out their own bread and butter problems, but , not so did He. ‘ “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that pfoceedeth out pf the mouth o f God.” He puts first things first. But there must be bread for the body. The Master recognizes this, and He calls upon His helpers, “Give ye them to eat.” “How niany loaves have you?” “ Five loaves and two fishes.” Seven is the perfect number, and here is the opportunity for working a perfect miracle. So we have Him Multiplying the Loaves and Fishes until they feed five thousand men, besides women and children. What wonderful hands were those which held those little brown loaves and red herring, _ and what mighty power was that which , wrought so great a miracle! Who could do this but God? And so Hé was the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, whose name is Wonderful. So He multiplies our lives when yielded to Him ; when put into
