come prepared to tell which lesson they liked best, and why? Ask the scholars to come prepared to report on one helpful truth learned from each lesson. A written review is o ftin stimulating. Let the teacher hand each scholar an exam ination paper, containing one question on each lesson. A hectograph, or a neostyle, or a mimeograph would make this possible, with but little trouble. declares Christ to be the Son o f God (1:1) ask all your girls to bring essays upon the theme, “ How Mark proves Christ to be the Son o f God.” Have these read in class then pass them on to the superintendent or pastor, to judge which is best, with the understanding that the girl who wrote the best one will have the privilege o f reading her essay before the entire school on the following Sunday. Since Mark wrote expressly to show that Christ came as God’s servant to' minister to people (10:45), give each girl pencil and paper and ask her to name the ways in which Christ served others in this Quarter’s study. Permit the use o f Bibles and allow three minutes for it.
/ V N the Sunday preceding, assign one lesson o f the quarter to each scholar, who shall present a two-minute paper on that lesson. If there are fewer than twelve scholars, o f course you cannot have a scholar for one lesson; then let the teacher tell the story o f the remaining lessons, and press home the truth suggested in the Golden Text. The successful teacher is one who teaches the pupils as well as teaches the lesson. No matter how masterfully the lesson may be presented if the truths have not gripped the pupils, that teacher has failed. So the review enables the teacher, to examine herself as well as her pupils. Use your girls in every possible way. There :doubtless would be more regular attendance and more thorough Bible study from week to week if more were made o f review. Let lionprs be shown those girls who excel in the various tests. Since Mark, in his opening statement,
