The Lincoln Memorial helps us to remember Abraham Lincoln . 14.Recap what has been learned this week about patriotic symbols. Help the students to understand and recognize the importance of these symbols and the people and events that they represent. 15.Extension activity: Use the Poster Pal activity “Seek and Search for Symbols.” For this activity, the students will identify each symbol on the left-hand side, identify what each symbol stands for, search for the symbols on the poster, and count how many times they appear. a. First, have the students identify each symbol on the left side. Give students the opportunity to share what the symbol stands for. b. Next, count the number of times each symbol appears on the Poster Pal. c. Last, write the number of times each symbol appears on the line next to the symbol.
