new machinery, how we bring it to market, how we get it installed, and make sure, from a customer service stand- point, that that’s as good as it can be, said Mulroe. “Tell us what we’re doing well and tell us what we need to be doing better. We can learn from that. It really makes us vulnerable, but it also makes us great.” “We are embedding things as we grow through part- nerships, through people we’re hiring to make sure that the customer service and the cus- tomer focus is still there,” said Quinn. “I think it’s just as important when talking about growth to also balance that out with we’ve never lost the customer focus, the focus on quality customer service. That’s who Haire is it’s who Haire is al- ways going to be. And the fact that it’s been sustained throughout this growing process is, I think, quite unique.” Superior Support The installations of every machine sold by Haire since 2005 have been done by Hampton Industrial Services, located in South Bend, Indiana. When it’s time for an in- stallation, the Haire team is on-site, and both companies are working in cooperation. Haire provides onsite training, and then the keys are handed over to the customer. “Having such a partnership, like the one we enjoy with Hampton, is crucial,” said Umlauf. “Shipping and logistics problems are a part of all businesses. And it’s not something I created; it’s a reflection of who we are. In talking to every- body that either works here or deals with us as an organi- zation, the mission and the vision, and the values became very apparent. Basically, we want to be the preferred pro- vider from a machinery standpoint. That’s our mission. But values are a little bit different. And I learned over time that our vision is to change lives through the work that we do and the organization that we run and the customers we take care of. So for our customers, that means driving profitability, making them more efficient with the machin- ery that we sell. They, in turn, can employ a lot of people and serve their communities.
