4. Each of the three groups of students will represent one of the three parties: the French, the British, and the Iroquois. Give each group primary accounts of the party they are representing. The graphic organizer Jumonville Account has these accounts. Point out to students that there may be some grammatical errors in the accounts because they are primary sources. 5. Working individually, each student should fill out the graphic organizer Trial. 6. Have students get back into their groups and discuss their findings, then: a. Pick out the evidence that they are going to use at the trial. b. Pick an “attorney” to present their evidence in the trial. 7. Hold a mock trial.
