OPTIONS BRING HOPE GRANT
The family and friends of OM patient Lindsay Zubeck have been spearheading fundraising efforts over the past two years to fund a research grant in her honor to advance treatment for all patients with metastatic uveal melanoma not restricted by HLA type. The second annual fundraising event was held in June 2023 with record-breaking attendance.
The Peer-Review Grant Selection Committee selected the proposal by Bruce Ksander, PhD (the Schepens Eye Research Institute), Rizwan Haq, MD, PhD (Dana-Farber Cancer Institute) and Margarete Karg, PhD (Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary), focused on the identification of molecular pathways that drive uveal melanoma metastasis.
