10. Demotion is when an employee transferred to a position lower in level to his current position with or without loss of pay.

11. Dismissal is the loss of employment after a full investigation and Disciplinary Hearing.

12. Appeal is a written notification from an employee appealing against the Disciplinary Action imposed on them addressed to the Director of Human Resources. 13. Grievance means any discontentment or dissatisfaction arising out of anything inconsistent with the fulfilment of the contract of service with the Hotel which an employee thinks, believes or even feels unfair, unjust or inequitable.

1.6 CLASSIFICATION OF INFRACTIONS & DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS

The following list of infractions with corresponding corrective actions has been established to unify all existing rules and regulations promulgated in the Hotel. The classification is not exhaustive/may not contain all the infractions but it is elaborate in scope and systematic in approach. Each case has been adjudged on its own merit and must be read in line with constitutional and statutory provisions and rights.
