that, whether in personal work with a single individual, in the teaching o f a Sunday-school class, in preaching in the church, or in special evangelistic effort, those who hear the messenger o f God should be conscious that God Himself has spoken to them through His ministering servant. The speaker also pointed out the fact that a comparatively small number thus get messages which are not only sound in the faith, but which also burn with the living fire of God’s man ifested presence into the inmost being o f those who hear. T he W ork A head Let us then try to picture the work that needs to be done, and the relationship of the worker to God and to the world, and let us study what we need to do to attain that goal in which, when we speak the word of God, the Holy Spirit will fall on those who hear. Three texts may help us in this study: “ All things that thou hast heard o f me . . . the same comrtiit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also” (2 Tim. 2 :2), “ Thou . . . shalt be turned into another man” (l.Sam . 10:6). “ As I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them” (Acts 11:15). It would take many hours to give such an outline clearly, but if we shall think and pray very earnestly, we may, in a few moments, start a series of thoughts and studies that will enable us to visualize the goal which students in a Bible Institute should have before them as they undertake a two or three years’ course o f study, and if that course has been partially completed, it may be of great value to get such a vision even now. In 1911, at the opening of a Bible conference in the East, a very wonderful address was given, the substance of which was that the Christian workers who are needed in every department o f Christian activity are those who minis ter the Word o f God in the power of the Holy Spirit so *Advisory Director, Unevangelized Africa Mission.
