TRISH AND MICK HOWEN SCHOOL OF BUSINESS AND ECONOMICS SCHOLARSHIP
Trish and Mick Howen graduated from UW-Stevens Point after serving in the U.S. Army and starting a family. Trish started her accounting career at the UWSP Foundation and is currently the director of accounting for The QTI Group in Madison. Mick worked at the Central Wisconsin Economic Research Bureau while attending UWSP and is currently a director with the Madison Metropolitan School District. Although they were both fortunate to receive scholarships while attending UWSP, there were none available to part-time students, such as Trish, through the School of Business and Economics. As a sign of their appreciation to UWSP for helping in their professional success, they established this scholarship to help part-time, non-traditional students with financial need who have responsibilities outside of school that make their pursuit of education challenging. KEVIN AND JORDAN ILE SCHOLARSHIP Kevin and Jordan Ile first met on campus at UW-Stevens Point as freshmen in 2015. Because of these meaningful connections and the impact UWSP has had on them personally and professionally, Kevin and Jordan were naturally encouraged to give back to students in need of additional financial support. MARLENE A. JENSEN-CABLE PEO SCHOLARSHIP This scholarship was established by Dick Cable in memory of his wife, Marlene. This scholarship is part of the Cable Family of Funds, which also includes the Ethel and Ward Cable Family Heroes Fund. Marlene’s parents were living in Rosholt at the time of her birth at St. Michael’s Hospital in Stevens Point. Her father had a dental practice in Rosholt; however, after his discharge from the Navy in 1945, Dr. Jensen moved his practice and family to Stevens Point where Marlene attended school. Prior to her senior year in college, Marlene and Dick Cable married on
