Of Counsel - Trial Lawyer Ward Clay

Through his long and distinguished career, Mr. Clay has tried at least 57 jury trials that led to a verdict, plus over 100 non-jury trials and over 130 appeals with six published cases. After completing his undergraduate work Cum Laude at U.C.L.A. in 1982, Mr. Clay obtained his J.D. in 1986 from the Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. Today, he brings his many years of trial experience and exceptional track record to provide winning legal representation. Mr. Clay served as a trial attorney with the San Diego Office of the City Attorney from 1986 to 1989 and was chief of the appellate unit. He was hired by the San Diego District Attorney in 1989 and served there until 1991. During his career, Attorney Clay has argued cases in both California and Hawaii, including cases before the California Supreme Court and both the Ninth and Fifth Circuit Federal Courts of Appeal. He has also represented many clients before the Fourth District Court of Appeal.
