Martindale-Hubbell is the facilitator of a peer review rating process. Ratings reflect the confidential opinions of members of the bar and the judiciary. Martindale-Hubbell ratings fall into two categories: legal ability and general ethical standards. The National Association of Distinguished Counsel is a professional organization dedicated to promoting the highest standards of legal excellence. Less than 1% of practicing attorneys in the United States are members of the “Nation’s Top Attorneys”. Candidates go through a stringent selection process of peer nomination, peer review and judicial review. American Board of Trial Advocates is an invitation-only national organization of leading trial attorneys dedicated to preserving the independence of the judiciary and the right to trial by jury. Members admitted go through a rigorous screening process as to their jury trial skills and advocacy, and their reputation as to civility, integrity and character.
