and I shall be whiter than snow.” Read Revelation 7 :14. Blue is the heavenly color which repre sents separation. Moses was told to have a border o f blue sewn on the bottoms of the garments of the children of Israel to remind them that they were a heavenly people. And now comes the color green, which suggests fruitfulness. God wants us to be fruitful Christians. The last color is yellow. Some day, Christians will walk the streets of gold in the heavenly city. Booklets by W . D. Herrstrom The Difference Between Fundamental ism and Moderism. Strongly recommended by the late T. C. Horton, this arresting pamphlet, a warning against modernism, has been followed by such a remarkable response that the booklet is now offered in its fourth edition. The discussion shows the threat of communism and of the American Association for the Advance ment of Atheism, and reveals these move ments as they are related to modernism’s denials o f God’s Word. 19 pages. Paper. Price 10 cents. Jonah’s Submarine Ride. This pamphlet presents evidences and discusses the rea sonableness of belief in the account o f the “great fish” in the book o f Jonah. But it gives also a message which many indi viduals have missed—the spiritual lessons from the Lord’s dealing with His unwill ing prophet. 31 pages. Paper. and they would be saved. And by the word “saved” He meant that they were to be saved to spend an eternity with God. His message was: “ Seek ye first the kingdom o f God.” Jesus knew that His followers would join themselves in companies as a church, and that they would become strong and power ful on this earth. But He knew also that it would not be a real strength, because they would not always look to God to lead them. Jesus said that they would be like a big, overgrown mustard plant that would grow to be the size o f a tree—so big that the enemies of the church could come like birds and perch in the branches. But this was not the kingdom that God was plan ning that His children should enjoy some day. Besides the heavenly kingdom to which Jesus was pointing the people, He told them o f a time when this kingdom would include people from every part of the earth —from the north, the south, the east, and the west—and people of all colors—black, white, and yellow. But to’ all this' big kingdom there is just one entrance. The doorway is the Lord Jesus Christ.

Object Lesson T h e G ospel in a N utshell

Objects: An English walnut, and six pieces o f narrow silk ribbon, each about twelve inches long. (The ribbons should be black, red, white, sky-blue, grass-green, and yellow. Sew them together in the order mentioned. Begin with the yellow, and roll them, placing this roll inside the empty walnut shell. Allow a little o f the black to stick out from between the two halves of the walnut. Glue the two halves together after placing the ribbon inside.) Lesson: When Christ was here on earth* He used many little things with which to teach great truths. He spoke about a little mustard seed and about leaven, showing how they taught great truths about the kingdom of God. I brought something with me this morn ing which is small and tells great things. Here it is ! It is an ordinary-looking wal nut. I have called it “The Gospel in a Nutshell.” You will understand when you see what comes out of it. See, it has a black tongue sticking out. As I pull on it, a long piece o f black comes out. The first thing unsaved people need to hear is that their hearts are black in the sight of God. “All have sinned, and come short o f the glory o f God” (Rom. 3:23). - And now comes a red ribbon. This color reminds us of the blood o f sacrifice. David said: “Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean.” Hyssop, a plant, was used in Old Testament times for sprinkling the blood of the sacrified Passover Lamb. The next color is white. This is the way we look in the sight of God when we have been cleansed from sin in the blood of Christ. Again, David said: “Wash me,
