TIMEGUARD HAS ADDED WORLD-CLASS WI-FI CONTROL TO ITS EVER-POPULAR, SUPER-COMPACT PIR FLOODLIGHT RANGE… Remote control for outdoor lighting you can trust
O ne of the perpetual gems of the Timeguard range of PIR- automated LED lighting has been the ultra-compact design. With the main body of the lights fitting neatly into the palm of your hand and the equally-compact floodlight providing powerful illumination, they are great for commercial and domestic properties – especially where space is at a premium and looks matter. They’ve been continuously improved over the years, with one of the most recent upgrades being a boost to a full 2000 lumens from models with twin 10W floodlights. That’s as good as you will get from many bigger, traditional designs of floodlights. Individual pan and tilt adjustment for the two heads means you will easily be able to align the set-up to provide good lighting for the users’ needs, whatever the location. Building in genuine TuYa chips to add Wi-Fi control that users know they can rely on is the icing on the cake. ‘Appy days Customers phoning at all hours because they cannot get the Wi-Fi on the device you just fitted has got to be a low point for any installer. After all, there is not a lot you can actually do about a manufacturer’s flaky app. Why risk it? Instead, make sure the products you install are being controlled via an app that is continuously maintained, improved and de-bugged. In the home and light-commercial market, that pretty much means the TuYa App, and that is what Timeguard has chosen. You can be sure the company has experienced TuYa developers on its team and uses only genuine TuYa chips. And even if the users’ network or home wi-fi does go down for a while, that’s no problem. The new LED200WFB will continue to work offline, retaining its current PIR time delay, lux, and second stage lighting settings for as long as necessary.

Hi-Lo control Another new feature, usually associated with more expensive commercial and expensive integrated smart home applications, is the option of Hi-Lo control. This means the lights can be set to stay permanently on at a low level during hours of dusk and darkness, but will automatically brighten when someone is within their detection field. Naturally, time on, sensitivity and the light levels at which the light will not switch on are all adjustable via the App. Bringing it all together Another big plus of using Timeguard’s new Wi-Fi LED light with the world’s favourite home Wi-Fi control app is that users can control other compatible
lighting and devices in harmony. The LED200WFB’s indirect load activation can trigger other TuYa Smart devices when the PIR detects someone in the area. Installation will be quick and easy too. Like so many Timeguard products, these lights have a simple snap-in wall plate with fast-fix pin terminal block. There’s a handy corner bracket if needed, and plenty of options for cable entry.
