Important tips for tiling your bathroom

• MEASURE THE SPACE ACCURATELY

You will need to calculate the square metre area that you are tiling– the easiest way to do this is with our simple-to-use calculator found on our website: www.abacus-bathrooms.co.uk When calculating the space it is important to make sure you add at least 10% extra for waste and cuts. You don’t want to be half way through a project and run out.

• SELECT YOUR PERFECT TILES

Our products are grouped by style, making it easy for you to find the perfect option for your project, from stunning marble finishes to contemporary concrete effect. There really is a style to suit your space.

• THINK ABOUT YOUR SPACE

When selecting a tile range, make sure it is suitable for your space. Is the tile suitable for both wall and floor use? Does it have a slip resistance that makes it suitable for wetrooms? Look out for our features icons on each of our tile ranges to help you with selecting the right tiles for your project.

• DECIDE ON YOUR LAYOUT

Before you start your tiling project, consider how you would like your tiles to be laid out.

• COMPLETE THE LOOK

To complete the look, consider integrating shower panels or slatwall panels. These add texture, contrast, and functionality, making your space feel more refined and cohesive. Together, thoughtful layout and smart surface choices elevate any bathroom design from standard to standout.

• DON’T FORGET TO ORDER ADHESIVES AND GROUTS

Grout colour is often forgotten when it comes to selecting tiles, but the grout colour you choose can dramatically change the look of a tile. We also have colour matching sealants available to help achieve a co-ordinated finish. See Page 66 for the full range.

• SELECT YOUR TILE TRIMS

Make the tile trims a design feature, by selecting a coloured metal trim that complements your brassware. See page 70 for the full range
