I am a Lockertsville Rd area resident where the proposed TVA site will be. I am expressing that I am 100% against this site being used for anything that will be harmful to the atmosphere, to animals, to our waterways, to the people of this community, to anything that will have a negative impact to the area among many other concerns. The residents of this community deserve better. It’s our way of life out here and it should not be disturbed. I’m certain you can find another area that doesn’t revolve around farm land and a residential community. Again, I am AGAINST this TVA site off of Lockertsville Rd in Ashland City, TN. Thank you in advance, Tammy Bishop negative Tammy Bishop 37015 We are developers about to list a $800k house less than a mile from this land and we have received several questions. We built the neighbor’s house too, which is a 4,500 sq. Ft. House on 15 acres. He is considering selling this house and rebuilding elsewhere and has already started looking at land. Could someone explain to me exactly what is going in here? The are rumors that it will be extremely loud and visible from places such as 2488 Lockertsville Rd., where our new construction house is finishing up. I want to be able to know how to describe this project to potential new buyers when we list it next week. Where will gas lines be run from, and will there be methane involved? What kind of batteries will be powered, and what kind of burning will be involved? Thank you for your time. neutral Jake Bumpus

TVA Owned Land in Cheatham County

This is in reference to the Cheatham Co Generation Site. My husband and I own 64 acres in Cheatham county, mostly farmland and forestland. I also work for the Montgomery County Soil & Water Conservation District and have lived in this area all my life. Based on the information given in the notice (federal register), I DO NOT agree that this site is adequate for its intended use. While I understand the need for additional power source sites to support the growth of middle TN, I would like to see other, more rural pieces of land evaluated that are not currently exploding with schools and residential developments just 26 miles from Nashville. Other than the fact that Pleasant View receives 100% of its drinking water from Sycamore Creek, my other concerns include the fact that wind carries particulate matter as well as rainfall induced runoff. I'm sure TVA will do everything they can to minimize impact to the community, however, those two factors are beyond human control. I do have a few questions that I would appreciate an answer to:
TVA Cheatham County Generation Site
1. What will the airborne particulates from this site and surrounding consist of? 2. What controls will TVA institute to protect air and water quality in this area? 3. Will these controls be sufficient in maintaining a healthy air and water quality for long term residents? 4. Will residue from airborne particulate matter, when hit by rainfall, be washed into Sycamore Creek? 5. Why were no local officials or utility districts contacted directly by TVA concerning this project?

Thank you for allowing community input regarding the proposed TVA 900 W Cheatham County Generation site. I'm writing to express my displeasure with the TVA plan. I am aware this site is supposed to replace the Cumberland City Coal Burning Generator immediately. Who are the recipients of the current Cumberland City plant? What will the Cumberland Site be used for once the coal plants are closed? Are you being forced by the federal government to shut these plants down? Have TVA's coal
plants been "clean coal?" Why can't you build the new plant and the storage on the current site in Cumberland County? It is already industrial so rebuilding on the same site makes more sense to me. The plan to use this undeveloped land in Cheatham County is so unwise because you are planning to destroy nature - destroy the natural, native habitats, woods, and agricultural land with something that is industrial, unsightly and puts the natural land, habitats and people at risk. It is not how we want our County to look or be! How are you planning to protect Sycamore Creek to keep it a recreational area? I understand the future plan TVA has for Cheatham County site is for storage but is the installation of solar panels and/or wind energy also in the plan for that site? I am not in favor of any Wind energy in Cheatham County. Wind energy is noisy and disturbing and drives you crazy. Have you ever traveled through Clear Lake, IA? The noise of the wind turbines is eerie and you cannot escape it anywhere. It's maddening and not good for humans or animals I assume. IT'S AIR POLLUTION! I am opposed to large "Solar farms." I own some property in Sherburne County, MN and Excel Energy has ruined the farmland surrounding my family's property. I fear you are planning the same thing for Cheatham County. We need to preserve our farmland for farming in case it is needed and not push for large acreages to be placed into solar generation to supplement the grid. I appreciate TVA and I appreciate the plan to supplement with natural gas. I just don't want the pristine land in Cheatham County to be used for industrial. As I mentioned I don't understand why it cannot be built in Cumberland City. negative Mary Weber
