Please do not build in Pleasant View. It is a great community and I would hate to see it destroyed and polluted

Please do not put this in Cheatham County. I live close to the location of the proposed power plant. We do not want it nor the negative affects of it.
Hello, A lot of my comments will probably echo other respondents comments and that will show a common theme amongst the concerned citizens of our beautiful community. I would like to raise a few concerns though . I was born and raised near this site and would like to preserve it for my future generations. The easy concerns are environmental impact, property values , concerns about the gas line etc. My concerns go to things like the 10 acre battery farm that has already proven to be an issue in the event of fires not being able to be suppressed . Simple battery powered cars and Plants like Phoenix Arizona Power should illustrate my concerns. Another issue is that it is said that TVA is only developing 75 acres in the middle of the 285 purchased but what will stop future expansion here. This plant will only be a 25 year gap plan to get us to the next power source. This brings me to the next concern, SMR (Small Module Reactors) could eventually be added to this site or others similar in the future. Government mandates are speeding up the process to get away from fossil fuels on their timeline and maybe not what is actually feasible and that should be done for the true benefit of our future. The New Johnsonville Power plant was is pretty bad condition and probably should have either been updated or torn down but it would still be a good place to convert to a natural gas turbine. Setting dates to tear down Cumberland City and Gallatin Steam plants that do not have their replacements on line or nearly online seems irresponsible. Both types of plants should be pushed out to more rural area than out beautiful untouched community. Thank You for your consideration of my comments negative Todd Corn 37015

My family and I are very concerned about the health and environmental impact the proposed Ashland City TVA power plant will have not only humans, wildlife, but also aquatic life in Sycamore Creek. I am also concerned about the property values diminishing in the area due a power plant being in our neighborhood. I am opposed to the power plant being built in this area. negative SW Saunders 37015

Cheatham County Generation Site_#128 I am strongly against the proposed plant and lines that will disrupt the countryside of Cheatham County. Pleasant View water supply would be at risk as well as bald eagle habitats and farm land. I do not support this at all. Let’s not disrupt this beautiful area negative Andrew Phillips 37015

I don’t understand why you would pick a place near all these Farms,Wildlife and Families, it will ruin these places not to mention, ruined our home values. I think there could be a better place chosen than Cheatham County in the middle of our homes and farms and farm animals and natural wildlife. Please rethink it.

To Whom it May Concern: From my local perspective TVA was secretive and far from transparent in the planning and announcement of this power plant and pipeline proposal. From what I understand of the EIS is that ALL viable alternatives must be considered when planning a project of this magnitude and there is no information provided on what other options were considered. Some alternative options that deserve consideration are: 1.) Advance research, development and application of technologies that are already planned for the future or that are yet to be considered- hydrogen, nuclear, solar, magnetic power generation
2.) Revisit the abandoned nuclear site in Hartsville, TN. If advanced nuclear is already in plans for the future, why invest billions in new fossil fuel plants? 3.) Build a plant closer to start of pipeline and avoid the cost and property destruction of laying 12 miles of pipe. Have sites in that area been assessed for feasibility? 4.) Build a plant in West Nashville closer to where the energy will be used. If they need the power let them host the power plant. Seems reasonable. 5.) Properly assess how much power could be generated from solar panels on private and public spaces across the county and state and at what cost.

6.) Upgrade existing power generation sites including the Cumberland Coal Plant, Cheatham Dam, Old Hickory Dam and other power generation sites in middle Tennessee. These are just a few ideas from an ordinary person, but with the resources TVA has met with the power of human thought and innovation with the honest consideration of citizen's needs and concerns, surely a better solution could be created. The ecosystems of Sycamore Creek and the surrounding farmland that has been cultivated since before the Civil War has more historical and environmental value than power being generated to be used to power excessive energy use and population growth in West Nashville from people moving in droves from States with restrictive and absurd laws regarding power generation and electricity consumption. Vast and diverse ecosystems will be gravely threatened by this power plant, with America's very symbol, the Bald Eagle, hunting and very possibly nesting in that area, even on the proposed site. There should be open discussion of this with the public in town hall meetings or other forums. The Scoping Meeting on June 21st fell very short with uninformed, contradicting information and flat out lies coming from TVA representatives. I hope these comments are carefully reviewed, considered and

addressed! Thank you
We do not want this in our backyard. There are better locations for this. Someone needs to look at this location in the middle of a residential area. The impact will be horrible for our water, wildlife, air quality, farm land. I live a half mile from location on 200 century old farm. TVA is government and does not care about money but will cost a fortune to put this here. We do not have roads or bridges to handle this. There is property on river road for sale better suited for this or the TWRA property already owned by gov is more than enough land to do what you need to do. This will not effect people in as much. You will not have to take peoples property You only disturb wildlife. Also it saves TVA money. Your gas line and power lines are right their. Just because you bought cheap property does not mean it is the best location. Who ever decided this is good location needs to be fired they must not looked at property because this will cost a fortune. Hire someone who can do their job correctly and take into consideration of cost. Tax payers will be impacted the most. negative Donna Jackson 37015 Very concerned about this proposed plant. Details have been vague. Please do not destroy beautiful land, waterways, natural habitats, gorgeous woods and farmland. This is not wanted in our beautiful county. Very concerned citizens of Ashland City, TN negative Sharon Tansil 37015 In regards to the proposed pipeline and methane plant, I vote NO! This is a huge danger to our waterways, native wildlife and well as the people of our communities. There is no room for dirty TVA plants in our small county. This farm land is better suited for farming, or left as a natural area for our native wildlife that is being pushed out at every turn to make room for the population boom in our county. This is definitely not what we as a community are trying to move towards. Let these pipelines and power plants move on somewhere else. Cheatham County is not where it belongs. negative Elizabeth Brown 37035
