Could we please consider a safer cleaner renewable energy rather than the gas pipeline?
WE are in a climate emergency and we know fossil fuels are a major cause! We also know that burning gas also damages the health of those in the vicinity. We have alternatives. USE THEM! Stop victimizing the people. Stop ruining our land with pipelines! Investing in pipelines is like saddle makers complaining about cars over a century ago. The future is here! Get on board.

To try to continue with fossil fuels is unnecessary, treasonous against the country and ultimately futile

Let’s move toward a cleaner, less-risky approach to energy. No more methane poisoning our air, please!

Replacing coal with "natural" gas is a mistake. Not only does gas not solve the air-pollution problem, it is also made of a compound with a global-warming potential (GWP) 86 times that of carbon dioxide.

The TVA should embrace CLEAN energy, not more dirty energy disguised as "better".

Stop pollution in Tennessee air. Find other ways to make money not destroying the planet. Greed? Most go to church.

Clean, non-polluted air must be achieved for everyone. People who live with com-promised respiritory systems are harmed by polluted air. We cannot shrug this issue off as someone else's problem.

Enough destruction and insanity. Stop this craziness. Look at this world...look at what humans have done to nature, our waterways, our air.

Please chill...research..and let's try to change this country/world for the better.
Natural gas plants are harmful to humans and the greater environment. Emissions directly released include sulfur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, and carbon monoxide, as well as hazardous pollutants that can cause cancer and other health problems. These gases also cause global warming and we are already very close to hitting catastrophic levels of ghg in our atmosphere. If TVA decides to build Natural gas plants while knowing the impact it has on the community they will be inviting legal litigation which could cost taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars and would cause a huge PR problem. Solar and battery storage is already more affordable than natural gas. TVA could also look into making existing hydroelectric plants more efficient by updating their turbines and generators and adding capacity at Racoon Mountain. Please do the right thing our future depends on it. negative Derrick Painter 37411

This is a great concern to us as we spend so much time in this area. Please, let’s focus our resources on renewable energy. This seems unnecessary. Please don’t build the pipeline. Thank you
