Gas is a temporary replacement for oil and coal. The future is renewables. Investing there will provide bigger, longer-term returns.

Please don't allow this to happen! There will be tons of wildlife affected. There are clean waterways in the area and several farms that will risk being destroyed because of this plan.

Solar is smart. Methane is polluting. TVA should be leading the move towards clean and renewable energy - not moving in the opposite direction.

I care about the area in which I live and my fellow homesteaders in Cheatham County. We don’t want a pipeline going through and destroying our farm land.

What is the sense in this? The TVA is not doing Tennessee any favors by bringing in yet more polluting energy. If Cumberland is being shut down, would it not be more logicaL to bring in cleaner energy that will benefit the people, the environment/planet, and wildlife? negative Kate Kenner 5301

As our climate destabilizes and our environment becomes more unlivable, we must eliminate energy sources that contribute to these problems. Redirect efforts from gas expansion to non-toxic, non-destructive energy reservoirs like wind and solar. negative Sophia Keller 98146

These gas powered plants should only be allowed if they are built with the capability to switch from hydrocarbon gas fuels to pure hydrogen gas without additional upgrades and that all pipelines be constructed to be able to handle hydrogen gas - either gaseous or liquid - in this way it will either have the hydrocarbon industry putting itself out of business or giving them strong incentive to begin moving to infinitely renewable hydrogen production/use as their preferred fuel of choice as there are methods of production of hydrogen gas that could as added benefit solve other environmental problems simply by their use in such production.
