Please do not do this to the environment. This part of our country is vital to leave alone for the sake of our environment and the future of our children.
We must transition away from fossil fuels as soon as possible. The future generations depend on it. I don't understand why we would want to invest in burning more fossil fuels at this point, especially given what we know about the consequences. negative Wade Austin 35601-2810

I do not want our natural habitats further negatively impacted. People move to the rural areas to escape industry. Also, there is a critical mandate for sustainability that cannot be ignored.
I ask that TVA and it's partners ABANDON this Cheatham County Generation Site (CHG) immediately. I love this land I live on up here along Lockerstville Rd and Hwy 12. It's country living at its finest - organic growers about up here, nature lovers, paddlers, anglers, young families with children and aging adults who have lived up in Ashland City's Sycamore creek watershed area for several generations now. I feel suscpicious about such a massive energy harvesting project especially since its life span could be undercut and poses a major threat to the air we breathe up here. The consequences of polluting our blueways, farmland, forests, and beauty of our Tennessee hills and valleys has got to stop. No more. There is greed written all over this TVA plan and its partners like Kinder Morgan. I heard that TVA had a debt of over $1 billion dollars too. Signs of mismangaged finances is more reason not to trust TVA's leadership under Jeff Lynash. There have been many reports of methane LEAKING and venting into the air from these gas plants and gas pipelines in the USA and Europe. Yet, the industry isn't held accountable due to no government regulations to check on it's poisoning of the people and life in general. Natural gas industry lobbyists perhaps making deals to keep TVA and it's partners immune to punishment. It's an invasive treatment to our neighborhood up here on Lockerstville Rd and Ashland City. We ask that TVA abandons this project immediately. Methane gas leaks are a bigger problem than we think. TVA's GHC project is not welcome here. negative Nerissa Aquino 37015

Cheatham county is the only area near Nashville that isn’t an environmental wasteland.

TVA should invest in renewable energy sources like wind, energy efficiency, solar and storage to replace the capacity of both coal-fired units at the Cumberland City fossil plant.

Now that the catastrophe of Climate Change is upon us, building still further destruction (methane) of life and the critical need to keep the vast products of the Carboniferous Age locked into the ground is plain and demanding on us all. Catering to the power of established money and selfishness is spectacularly evil - a rotten blow both to the needy in impoverished areas and both those (when progressive climate positive alternatives stare in the face) who need solid jobs that are climate contributive are available and the disasters of locked in favoritism to money and related rotten “inside track” power is so blatantly destructive. negative David Albert 46615

Cheatham County Generation Site Skibo Energy proposes a solution to decarbonize natural gas power plants by adding thermal energy storage to capture gas turbine exhaust heat and boost it with peak (excess) electricity. The additional storage allows for GW of PV/wind to be added to the grid Vendor Submittal Harry Levinson 15106

To whom it may concern, I am writing to you today regarding your plans to build the country's largest combustion turbine plant & battery storage facility in Ashland City. (I'm sure this will be a great slogan for the marketing material to promote our beautiful town.) I am stunned, to say the least, that with all the 'truly rural' countryside in Tennessee, the TVA has chosen a county that 'touches' Davidson county - one of the fastest growing counties in the country. With housing in Nashville being out of control, the neighboring counties are such a critical option for people to 'safely' move their families to. I have lived in Cheatham county for over 27 years. I chose this county because of the geography, and your proposal seems to fly in the face of the focus that Cheatham County has had on wildlife management. My previous home is located 5 minutes from this site, and my current home is 10 minutes away. The land the TVA purchased, given its proximity to Nashville and Clarksville, should certainly be used for either housing - or some other healthy/welcoming community use - NOT a facility such as you're proposing. This careless plan of the TVA's will negatively/tragically affect the residents of our county - both with health issues and property values. GO FURTHER OUT!!! There are plenty of other options that are not bedroom communities to two large cities. negative Tracy Francis 37015

7/3/2023 Cheatham County Generation Site I think it would be a great waste to build on our land for something that benefits a different city and has zero benefits to Cheatham County...it will devalue the homeowners and the wetland and wildlife...something already scarce...and Bald Eagles nest there, which are federally protected. I think this is a great injustice negative Dawn Fowlkes 37015 7/4/2023 Cheatham County Generation Site We do not want this here. Build it in the industrial park. This is going to ruin the home values with in several miles of this plant. negative Kenneth Ezzell 37015
