recommendations specified in the most current TVA Integrated Resource Plan (IRP). Combination projects would be considered so long as they meet the purpose and need for firm, dispatchable power to replace the retired Cumberland generation.
What is the current inventory and locations of TVA stranded assets?
TVA does not have any stranded assets.
Is TVA aware that Cheatham County has five schools that exist within a five-mile radius? Currently, the county does not have the resources to evacuate students at a moment's notice due to a methane gas or battery explosion. Where are the students - and the residents of this small county - supposed to go in the event of a massive emergency? We would like to see emergency response plans for Johnsonville and Lagoon Creek. Farmers who have worked the land for up to eight generations live next to or very near the property. Has TVA taken this fact into consideration? How are they supposed to evacuate their herds of livestock in the event of emergencies? What is TVA's plan to force residents out whose properties connect to the TVA property or are in close proximity? (It should be mentioned that we already know we will not be able to withstand the noise of 900-megawatt combustion engines based on what happened in Gleason with a plant that uses less combustion - and the class action suit that was brought against TVA, and TVA was forced to purchase blocks of private property.
