WE ARE MEANT TO EAT MEAT Fruits and Veggies Should Be a Small Part of Our Diet
So, in the last issue, I explained how the food and medical industries continue to lie to (and hurt) us. But let’s rewind for a second: Last month, I shared, to my amazement, how the carnivore diet helped improve my arthritic hip pain by 95%. In addition, I am much clearer- minded, my acid reflux has disappeared, my energy levels have increased, and I’m the healthiest I have ever been — just by eating animal products. Throughout this journey into the carnivore world, I have learned that the products marketed as “healthy” were not that healthy at all. They were made by companies that comprise the Big Agriculture and Big Food industries. In essence, our “health” is being peddled as a lie to line the pockets of industry leaders. It is partially our fault, as consumers, to believe that a company would prioritize our health over their money. If they don’t make money, they do not have a company. We have forgotten this on a day-to-day basis. Although they may want to help people, their MAIN priority is making money. However, our main goal is to have optimal health. Do you see the difference in goals? Today, 75% of the Food and Drug Association’s (FDA’s) budget comes from pharmaceutical companies. What?! That’s crazy! Scientists working at the National Institute of Health (NIH) are regulators who are supposed to look for problems with the drugs they review, but
instead, they are also working to develop drugs with the manufacturers. They are receiving lifetime royalties from these drug companies for their work. These are both disturbing conflicts of interest; because of this, these government organizations cannot fight for the health of the American people. And don’t expect news reporters to break this story. The days of independent journalism are over. News stations are run by corporations funded by Big Pharma and Big Food, among others. They will not forego their revenue-producing advertisers. We will continue to see pharmaceutical ads constantly when we sit down in the evening to watch the TV. So, who is looking out for our health? Go back to the beginning of humanity. We were not eating diets rich in wheat, fruits, and vegetables. We relied on meat and animal products to sustain us through long winters, hunts, battles, and other rigorous tasks associated with survival. Do you think our ancestors went hunting after a “filling” meal of blueberries? They needed meat! Furthermore, human bones from hundreds of thousands of years ago show that our ancestors were very healthy. In fact, they had the capacity to live longer. Experts believe that, while statistically, our lifespans were increasing, this has stalled and is no longer true; it was violence and infections that lowered the lifespan of those hundreds of thousands of years
ago, NOT chronic conditions like we have now. We moved a lot more each day (no desk jobs) and ate primarily meat and fish. Nitrogen Isotope tests done by anthropologists today show that humans were at the top of the food chain of meat eaters, meaning we ate more meat than lions! The push these days to eat plant-based foods, which I believed in wholeheartedly before starting the carnivore diet one year ago, is due to the Big Food industry trying to make money. There are many ways to repackage plant-based products, but not many ways to repackage beef. The markup on plant-based food is greater, and they can manipulate it to make it more addictive. Out of 60,000 products in the average grocery store, 59,000 involve wheat. The United States spends the most money on healthcare and we are 66th among all countries regarding overall health. Our system is not working. In fact, life expectancy in the United States has dropped over the past 10-20 years. This is not worldwide. It is mainly in our country. Our government should not be colluding with private companies. We need our government to prevent the immoral practices of these large food companies and not profit along with them. Where are our leaders who prioritize morals over money? We need leaders that cannot be bought out and influenced by large corporations.

TASTY TAKEOUT TRANSFORMATION YOUR GO-TO GUIDE FOR HEALTHY TO-GO FOOD CHOICES
Manage your portion sizes. Many fast food joints serve big portions you can split into two meals, so always watch how much food you order. Avoid supersizing your meal and stick to the smallest serving sizes for sides, drinks, and main entrees. Our favorite takeout hack is to check out the kid’s menu. The children-size hamburgers at most restaurants typically contain only 250–300 calories, so you will still get a solid serving of protein with less fat — and save a little money. Skip the add-ons. When you crave fast food, every calorie counts. Say no to add-ons or extras for your meal, like bacon or cheese. Sauces and dressings often have extra calories and sugar, so avoiding them or asking for them on the side is best. If you want condiments on your food, like mayonnaise, ask them to add only a light amount or ask for sauce packets so you can control those extra calories. Some healthy and tasty swaps for flavor are avocado, hummus, or salsa. So, remember these tips to keep your meal delicious and healthier next time you’re in the drive-thru line. You can enjoy a world of flavors without sacrificing your well-being by making mindful choices and small swaps.
Are you hungry for some delicious takeout but want to keep it healthy? Whether you’re craving spicy Szechuan or dreaming of a cheesy slice of pizza, we’ve got your back with the ultimate guide to guilt- free takeout! From swapping
out egg rolls for lighter spring rolls to skipping your hamburger bun,
discover how to indulge in your favorite cuisines without compromising health. So, grab your fork, and let’s dive into the menu of nutritious takeout options that will satisfy your cravings and keep you healthy. Avoid fried foods. Many of the most popular dishes at fast-food restaurants are battered and fried. Look for items on the menu that are baked, steamed, roasted, or grilled, as they are healthier alternatives. Fried foods are high in calories and trans fat, which could negatively impact your health. Simple swaps like choosing a veggie burger instead of a regular burger with bacon or a baked potato instead of fries can make all the difference.

But Robert! What about fruits and vegetables? Aren’t those the healthiest things you can eat?! You might think so as I did, but like me, you would be wrong. About 12,000 years ago, we started to farm more of our food. Anthropologists can see the reduction of skull size, brain size, overall height, and bone strength in the fossils that have been dug up from the ground over a 700-year stretch around 12,000 years ago. People were bigger, stronger, and healthier when they ate fatty meat or fatty fish — far surpassing any nutrient density of a vegetable. People became the supreme predators on Earth because the meat they hunted and ate helped their brains and bodies to develop to a high level. In addition, today’s fruits and vegetables do not resemble those from years ago. They have all been genetically modified to have more carbohydrates and a sweeter taste, especially over the past 100 years, so that companies can sell more to the public. Veggies and fruits can provide nutrition but are less optimal than beef. However, let’s put things in perspective. Processed food, or food you find in a box or bag, is much worse and the biggest culprit of today’s chronic health problems, more so than fruits and vegetables. Hasn’t beef been altered, too? No, because cows and other ruminant animals have four chambers to their stomachs that break down the food they eat, turn it into protein and fat, reduce the toxins and chemicals, and make it much more bioavailable for humans to eat and absorb into their bodies. However, it is better to avoid eating cows that are unhealthy and are being fed antibiotics and chemicals. But the jump to eating more fatty meats compared to carbohydrates, even if not grass-fed, is still light-years better. Did you know that a cereal company, specifically Kellogg’s, in 1917 coined the term “Breakfast is the most important meal of the day”? They want you to eat their wheat-based products. Did you know they paid and are still paying chemists to develop the food to be more addictive? One such substance in all wheat is “gliadin,” a chemical that makes your brain want to eat more wheat and carbohydrates. It promotes addiction and overeating and is found in all wheat products! But Robert! Why does my doctor say eating meat will clog my arteries and that produce is better for me? Even though many doctors and medical researchers care about patients’ well-being, I believe they were taught in a corrupt system. Big Pharma significantly funds the medical schools. And Big Pharma doesn’t make money from promoting beef or fish. And Big Pharma will never promote something that doesn’t make them money. Like I said before, Big Pharma and Big Food have done most of the research you see. Understand that they will only put out evidence-based research that helps them make money. That is their focus. If they can also help people in some way, then great, the two motivations will be in sync. But if they don’t make money, you will never see those studies, especially if it reduces their profits.
I have a friend who is a medical doctor who promotes the carnivore diet online. He was sued by GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals, the largest pharmaceutical company in the world, and General Mills, the cereal company, because his message to eat beef was getting too popular on YouTube. So, he had to spend $20,000 on lawyers to win the case. They are ruthless when it comes to their bottom line. There is a lot happening behind the scenes regarding your health that you probably aren’t aware of. Furthermore, independent research studies funded by everyday people like you and me have shown no change in arterial plaque for people on the carnivore diet for five years, even though they had very high LDL cholesterol levels. Dave Feldman and Nick Norowitz recently published one such study, which you can look up on YouTube. Chronic conditions are increasing in the United States. Even though heart disease and cancer have better treatments today, they are still occurring much more frequently in our population than 50 years ago. Our main goal should be not to get cancer and heart disease in the first place. But who makes money when we avoid cancer and heart disease? Not Big Pharma. You do because you will be alive to work another day. We are failing with our current health practices, and the diet is the main culprit. Big Pharma makes money off of sick people, not healthy people. Wrong information has become commonplace and is the reason we have increases in cancer and heart disease growing every decade. We are getting sicker and dying younger, and health problems are occurring more frequently in younger people, like cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and autism. I encourage everyone to try the carnivore diet with help from a coach. Our own Dr. Sam, a physical therapist, is taking on new patients for guidance since he has achieved success with his health due to an animal-based diet. If you are interested, please let us know. I recommend you make diet changes with the assistance of a coach, as it will be a shift for your body to digest more fat, and it takes weeks or months of adjustments. You will want to know that you are on the right track. If you cannot commit to going fully carnivore, try a Keto diet, limiting yourself to 20-50 grams of carbohydrates daily. I guarantee you will feel better, get stronger, and live a healthier, pain-free life. A great place to start is by cutting out processed foods from your diet and replacing them with fatty meat or fish. Try just eating whole foods, and after three weeks, let me know if your pain level has reduced. I am sure it will. The food you eat is way more impactful in reducing pain and inflammation than medications and injections. We just haven’t felt it because we haven’t eaten the right foods. –Dr. Robert Morea

The Gym Celebrities Can’t Get Enough Of 4. Fascinating Facts to Make Your Bones Rattle
EXPLORING THE MARVELS OF YOUR SKELETAL SYSTEM! ‘BONE’ VOYAGE
Make no bones about it; our skeletons are a real rib-tickler of fascinating facts! From the impressive strength of our thigh bones to the tiny marvels of the inner ear, your bones are the unsung heroes of your body. So, rest your bones in a comfy chair because we are about to dig up some of the most shocking skeletal secrets. Babies have more bones than adults. Although babies are tiny, their bodies have many bones in a pudgy, little package. Human babies have about 300 bones compared to an adult’s 206. Many extra bones are entirely or partly made of cartilage, allowing the baby to stay flexible in the womb. Over time, the bones fuse and decrease in number. Fracture rates are highest when kids are around ages 11–15, the critical time for significant growth spurts thanks to growth plates that close as we age. Half of our bones are in our feet and hands. Did you know that many of our bones are in the smaller extremities of our body? Nearly half of our 206 adult bones are in our hands and feet! Each foot has 26 bones, and our hands both have 27 bones, which is 106 bones. Our hands
even have a bonus bone called the pisiform, located on the outside edge of our wrists. The funny bone is a nerve. Have you ever hit your funny bone? Well, you are not hitting a bone at all. This area on the body is part of the ulnar nerve, which goes from your neck to your hand. Bone, muscle, and fat typically protect nerves, but a small portion of this nerve on the back of your elbow is more exposed. So, when you hit your funny bone, named for its location near the humerus bone (a homophone of “humorous”), you’re really bumping into the ulnar nerve. So, now that you’ve “boned up” on the most fascinating fossil facts, give your skeleton a little nod for the incredible things it does to support you and keep you moving!
